     Allen Earnest Slade was New Tag [his father born Vermont, his mother in Massachusetts] in March, 1872 in New Hampshire.2 He was born on March 22, 1874 in Walpole, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.1 He was the son of Stillman Slade and Abbie Sarah Kench.1
     Allen married first Helen Maria Guild, daughter of William Walcott Guild and Eliza J. Alexander, on October 9, 1901 in Walpole, New Hampshire.1,3 Helen died Jan 18, 1904 from hemorage during surgery.4
     Allen married second Sarah Elizabeth Sunbury, daughter of William H. Sunbury and Frances Waite, on June 25, 1913 in Wamesit, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.5 Allen Earnest Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Keene, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.6 Sara died Jan 18, 1922 in Drewsville, New Hampshire.7 Allen died on March 30, 1942 in Bellows Falls, Windham County, Vermont, at age 68.8
