     Barbara B. Binford was born circa 1925 in Ohio.2 She was the daughter of Hiram E. Binford and Lois J. [?]2 Barbara grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, where she attended Indiana University. She was a Kappa Alpha Theta at I.U. and graduated in 1946. She spent the next several years teaching high school English and drama in Martinsville, Indiana, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then at Reitz High School in Evansville where met Evansville native Bob Slade at the Elks Club.1
     Barbara married Robert Bryan Slade, son of Bryan Randolph Slade and Mary Eleanor Baugh, in 1951.1 Barbara B. Binford died on December 21, 2007.1 She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.1
