Jacob Frieze Jr.1

b. 7 April 1789, d. 2 June 1880
     Jacob Frieze Jr. was born on April 7, 1789 in Providence County, Rhode Island.1 He was the son of Jacob Frieze and Vashti Thayer.2
     Jacob married Betsey Slade, daughter of Job Slade and Prudence Chase.1 Jacob was a Universalist Minister and was an early missionary to North Carolina. Jacob was a Mason, he was Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Rhode Island in 1831.
In 1837 he was Clerk of the Rhode Island General Assembly. Later in life he served as private secretary to the US Senator from R.I., William Sprague, for a part of his term, 1863-75.2 Jacob Frieze Jr. died on June 2, 1880 at age 91.2 He was buried in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.2

     Ruth Anthony was born on September 19, 1896 in South Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Frank N. Anthony and Harriet M. Wood.2
     Ruth married Frank A. Slade, son of John Henry Slade and Alice M. Steele, on May 23, 1917 in Seekonk, Bristol County, Massachusetts.2 Ruth Anthonyapplied for a passport on May 11, 1918 at in Camaguey, Cuba, at the American Consular Agency.1

     Frank A. Slade was born on December 7, 1917 in Camaguey, Cuba.2 He was the son of Frank A. Slade and Ruth Anthony.1 Frank A. Slade died on December 15, 1933 in Manhattan, New York County, New York, at age 16.1 He was buried in Fall River, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1
