     Louisa A. Slade was born in 1845 in Surry County, Virginia.1 She was the daughter of Henry T. Slade and Matilda M. Freeman.1 Louisa A. Slade was New Tag in 1852 in Virginia.2
     Louisa married Eurimus M. Grant circa 1871.2 Eurimus' brother R. F. Grant, age 30, and Louisa's mother Maranda Slade, 72, were also living with the Grant family in 1880.2
