William J. Slade1

     William J. Slade was born on June 3, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of William K. Slade and Irene McMann.1
     William married Barbara A. Pitts.2 William died on December 29, 2020 at age 80.1 He was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.1 His obituary read as follows:

      William J. Slade 80, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday December 29, 2020 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late

Barbara A. (Pitts) Slade, who died in 2016.
Born June 3, 1940 in Boston, a son of the late
William K. and Irene (McMann) Slade, he was a former resident of Hernando, FL, Bellingham, and West Roxbury, MA. Bill was raised and educated in Boston, he was a graduate of Mission High School Class of 1957 and was a retired bricklayer, having worked for Boston Local 3. He was an Honorary Life Member Franklin Lodge of Elks #2136, a Past District Deputy of the Massachusetts Elks, member of St. Mary's Church, Franklin, MA, Our Lady of Grace Church, Beverly Hills, FL. He was a member and former Knight of the Year at the Abbot Francis Sadlier Council 6168 Knights of Columbus and enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, traveling and reading. He is survived by his children,

William L. Slade of Upton,
Kathleen M. Cummings and her husband Donald of Blackstone,
John P. Slade of Bellingham,
David A. Slade and his wife Mary of Bradenton, FL, and
Steven M. Slade and his wife Rebecca of Franklin.
