     Harrison Waskom was born on October 7, 1839 in Jackson County, Indiana.1 Son of Joseph Waskom, Sr., 1792-1862.1
     Harrison married Ann E. Slade, daughter of James Franklin Slade and Nancy Best, on March 1, 1891 in Indiana.2 Harrison died on November 30, 1895 at age 56.1 He was buried in Driftwood Christian Church Cemetery, Vallonia, Jackson County, Indiana.1

Susan Matilda Baird1

(30 March 1843 - 18 October 1919)
     Susan Matilda Baird was born on March 30, 1843 in Ohio2,1, the daughter of Archibald A Baird and Mary A Smith.1 Susan married first, Charles L Feltus.1
     Susan married second James Franklin Slade, son of Elisha Slade and Anna Thompson, on November 27, 1912 in Vigo County, Indiana.2 Susan died on October 18, 1919 at age 76.1 She was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana.1

David Lester Slade1

(17 May 1813 - 28 August 1875)
     David Lester Slade was born on May 17, 1813 in Indiana.1,2 He was the son of Samuel Slade.3 On Apr 10, 1843, David Lester Slade was granted a Land Patent for 80 acres in W/2, SW/4, Sec 27, T6N, R4E, 2nd PM, Jackson County, Indiana.4 David was living with his sister, Mary Ann, at the time of the 1860 census.1 David Slade, of Elizabethtown, was assessed $3.10 tax for 1 hog and custom made boots and shoes.5
     David married Catharine Emmons on May 30, 1866 in Jackson County, Indiana.6 David died on August 28, 1875 at age 62.2 He was buried in Robertson Cemetery, Seymour, Jackson County, Indiana.2

     Ruby Lee Wilcox was born on August 22, 1903 in Rochester, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
     Ruby married James A. Slade, son of Adiel Benson Slade and Mamie McMurray, circa 1921. Ruby died on January 23, 1926 in Orlando, Orange County, Florida, at age 221 and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, Orange County, Florida.1

Charles Herold Slade1,2

(21 July 1927 - 9 May 2014)
     Charles Herold Slade was born on July 21, 1927 in Wrightsville, Johnson County, Georgia.1,2 He was the son of Forran J. Slade and Maude [?].1 Charles was raised in Miami before moving to St Augustine in 1986. He served 12 years in the United States Coast Guard. Charles also worked for Eastern Airlines for 28 years before retiring.3
     Charles married Cora Winifred [?] in 1949 in Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.3,4 Charles died on May 9, 2014 in St. Augustine, St. Johns County, Florida, at age 86.3 His obituary read as follows:

      Charles H. Slade, 86, died at Flagler Hospital on May 9, 2014. Charles was raised in Miami before moving to St Augustine 28 years ago. He served 12 years in the United States Coast Guard. Charles also worked for Eastern Airlines for 28 years before retiring. He also volunteered at Flagler Hospital and the St Francis House.

He is survived by his wife Cora of 64 years, a son Steven (Faith) Slade of St. Augustine, a daughter Sharon Slade of Hendersonville, N.C., and a sister Olga Carpenter of Hialeah, FL.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, May 12, at Craig Funeral Home.
