     Henry VanMetre Jr. was born in 1773 date est from 1850 census.1 He was the son of Henry VanMetre Sr.1
     Henry married Christena VanSickle, daughter of Samuel VanSickle and Sarah Thompson.2 Henry VanMetre Jr. witnessed the military of Captain Anthony VanSickle on September 10, 1812 in Point Pleasant, Mason County, West Virginia; 2d Regiment of Riflemen, VA Militia commanded by Col. Dudley Evans. Anthony volunteered for 6 months service. Sept 10, 1812 to March 27, 1813. He is credited with "raising the troops of 100 men."3,4,5

     Doris Merle Cameron was born on November 17, 1927 in Lamar County, Mississippi,1, the daughter of Daniel and Lucretia Cameron.1
     Doris married Milan Slade, son of Ebenezer Slade and Dora Slade.1 Doris died on October 6, 2020 in Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi, at age 92.1 She was buried in Dixie Baptist Church Cemetery, Forrest County, Mississippi.1

     Eli Stedman was born circa 1780 estimated using 1808 tax roll with 1800 & 1820 census.2 Eli was a friend of Anthony VanSickle, and also a Minister of Gospel, who performed the marriage for Anthony and Zilpha. He witnessed the will of Captain Anthony VanSickle on October 19, 1812 in Point Pleasant, Mason County, West Virginia.3 Eli Stedman was members of Elder in Freewill Baptist Church, Rutland, Meigs Co, OH.2
     Eli married Zilpha Hubbel on December 27, 1818 in Meigs County, Ohio.1,2,4 Eli died on May 29, 1845.1
