She was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church in Northampton, belonged to the Amherst Historical Society and was a volunteer for Cooley Dickinson Hospital, the Northampton Survival Center, Historic Old Deerfield and First Call for Help of Amherst. Her husband, Donald M. Wood, died in 1967. She leaves three sons, Jeffrey of Amherst, Robin of Maine and Donald of Florida; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday morning at the church in Northampton, with burial in Huntington (N.Y.) Rural Cemetery. Calling hours are late Thursday late afternoon and evening at Amherst Funeral Home.
