He was a Private in theRoyal Field Artillery.5 Walter died on February 25, 1964 in Wiltshire, Wiltshire, England, at age 87.6 His estate was probated on August 5, 1964 in Winchester, Chester, England, Everything went to Lilian Lucy Smith, 2100 pounds.6
