     James A. Slade was born in 1810 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England.1 He emigrated on July 2, 1833; James was convicted and sentenced to seven years in the New South Wales, Australia Colony. He sailed aboard the ship Hive on 15 Jan 1834 from Buckinghamshire, England.2 Convicted of killing a steer, sentenced to Life, commuted to 2 years, 3 months and stne to Norfolk Island Penal Colony.1 Served short stints in Parramatta Gaol for minor crimes.1 Recieved his Certifcate of Freedon.1 James died in 1880 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.1
