     Lyman married Roxy Permelia Kibbe.3 Lyman moved to Genesee in 1856 and had charge of Mr. Langworthy's sawmill for several years. In 1864, he enlisted in the 85th NY and served until he was discharged in 1865.4 Lyman Oscar Slade began military service on September 2, 1864 in Genesee, Allegany County, New York, as a Private, Co D, 85th New York Volunteers, discharged June 27, 1865.1,2 He enlisted on September 2, 1864 in Allegany County, New York, as a Private, Co D, 85th New York Volunteers, discharged June 27, 1865.5 Lyman died on January 12, 1909 in New York at age 87.6 He was buried in Wells Cemetery, Little Genesee, Allegany County, New York.7
