      It is with great sadness that we the family announce the loss of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many;

George Kevin Slade, who passed away friday, June 29, 2012 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex was surrounded by his loving family.
Born February 4, 1961 in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late

Clarence and Jeanette (Donovan) Slade. An avid jokester, George took great pride in making family and friends laugh all the time; you would never know what he would come up with next. He lived everyday for the love of his life,

Kathleen and there four children. You could always find him in the yard cleaning, mowing and putting something out for sale. George will be sadly missed by his loving wife

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Reserve St., Glace Bay. Memorial donations in George's memory may be made to the Kingdom Hall. The family would like to thank the Dr.'s and nursing staff at the ICU units of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and Glace Bay General for the out standing and exceptional care given to George.
