Slade and Amanda Gray.2 Hattie married John M Bradley, b 1871 Missouri about 1897.1 Harriett died on February 10, 1964 in Stephens County, Texas, at age 88.1 She was buried in Breckenridge Cemetery, Stephens County, Texas.1

Clarice married Robert L Slade Jr., son of Robert Lee Slade and Annie Lena Hollingsworth.2,1 Clarice died on February 8, 2014 at age 94.1 She was buried in Orange Hill Cemetery, Hawkinsville, Pulaski County, Georgia.1 Her obituary read as follows:
Clarice Thornton Slade, age 94, died February 8, 2014. She was born in Rome, Georgia on October 20, 1919. Her parents were Reverend Joseph Archie Thornton and Lucille Young Thornton. She was married to Bob Slade of Pineview, Georgia where she taught first grade before moving to Hawkinsville where they raised their family.
Clarice was a member of First Baptist Church and the Jackie Berryhill Sunday School Class. She was very active in her church where she especially enjoyed teaching two year olds and senior high school girls in Sunday school. At one time she was a member of the DAR, The Pink Ladies Auxiliary, Garden Club and was a den mother for the Boy Scouts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Joseph Archie Thornton and Lucille Young Thornton; brother, Blakely Thornton and a grandson, Mathew Taylor.
Survivors include her sons, Lee (Claudette) Slade, Bill (Aleta) Slade and Dan (Judy) Slade all of Hawkinsville, Georgia; daughter-in-law Patsy Slade of Perry, Georgia. Grandchildren, Sandy Dodd, Robyn LeComte, Keri Puryear, William Slade, Hart Slade, Meg Carr and Allison Meeks. Great Grandchildren, Briel Slade, Tyler Meeks, Tanner Meeks, Riley Dodd, Brooks Dodd, Slade LeComte and Collyns LeComte. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Ike Slade.
The Slade family expresses deep appreciation to the caregivers at Southern Pines Retirement Home for their devotion and kindness to Clarice.
Visitation will be at the home of Bill and Aleta Slade, 257 Pineview Hwy., Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036 from 4p.m. to 6p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Graveside services will be held at Orange Hill Cemetery on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 2p.m. with Dr. Don McClung and The Very Reverend Dr. Gary L. Abbott, Sr. officiating.

William married Elizabeth Fleeman, daughter of Hershel Thomas Fleeman and Cleo Horne.4 William Edward Slade enlisted to serve in World War II on October 31, 1942 in Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, single, 2 yrs collage, Private, Branch Immaterial, U.S. Army, Enlistment for the duration of the War or other emergency, plus six months, subject to the discretion of the President or otherwise according to law.5 William died on January 6, 2015 at age 94.4 He was buried in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Houston County, Georgia.6 His obituary read as follows:

Warner Robins, GA- William E. "Ike" Slade, Sr., 94, walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
Born on September 15, 1920 to the late Robert L. and Lena Slade, Ike proudly served his country during World War II in the 3rd Army Air Force. He was stationed in Sioux City, Iowa for two years and discharged after 37 months of service. Ike went on to retire from the National Guard as Chief Warrant Officer 2.
Subsequent to his military retirement, Ike was involved in many businesses including jewelry, real estate, and insurance. He was owner of The Slade Jewelry Company in Hawkinsville for 14 years and later opened a real estate office there. Ike then became a resident of Panama City Beach, Florida for 13 years and moved to Warner Robins where he retired from Town and Country Real Estate and Century 21.
Ike had many interests including fishing and gardening, but his love for God always came first. At First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, he served as Deacon and was a member of the choir. Ike loved to sing and was a gifted piano player. After moving to Warner Robins, he became a devoted member of Central Baptist Church where he was a much-loved addition to the For His Glory Sunday School Class. Ike was a friend to everyone he met and will be remembered by all of his friends and family for his way of cheering people up when they needed it most.
His beloved wife of 68 years, Elizabeth F. Slade; parents; and brother, Robert Lee "Bob" Slade, preceded him in death.
He leaves behind a loving legacy to his family, two sons, Mike (Susan) and Tom Slade (Julie); daughter, Penny Gay (Dwayne); grandchildren, Lance Slade (Toni), Lori Lyons (Ryan), Will and Rob Slade, and Skylar and Casey Gay; and great-grandchildren, Spencer Slade, and Michael, Kaitlyn, and Slade Lyons.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
