     Mary married Samuel Spratt on December 7, 1738 in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset, England.33 The Merchant John Slade's "beloved sister Mary" received £100 per annum from his estate.4 Mary died on November 6, 1806 in Kinson (now Bournemouth), Dorset, England, at age 86.1,5

Samuel Spratt1

(circa 1715 - 1771)
     Samuel Spratt was born circa 1715 in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset, England.1 John Diffey, son of Jane Diffey of Forthingham, Dorset is apprenticed to Samuel Spratt of Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset and a planter in Newfoundland. Apprenticed for the full term of five years and till the fifth day of September 1744.2
     Samuel married Mary Slade, daughter of John Slade and Anne Sergaent, on December 7, 1738 in Winfrith Newburgh.1 Sam Spratt was a Newfoundland Merchant, working the south coast. Took John Wholstone as an apprentice to be taught and instructed the business of sea faring until he reaches the age of 21.3 Samuel died in 1771 in Newfoundland.1 His estate was probated on May 15, 1771 in Poole, Dorset, England; named wife Mary and son Samuel executors.4

     Olivia Spratt was born in 1752 in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Samuel Spratt and Mary Slade.1 Olivia received £100 from herUncle John Slade's estate.3 Her Uncle Thomas Slade, Nfld Merchant, bequeathed her £10 per annum.4 Olivia Spratt left a will on December 3, 1829; Probate Court: Canford and Poole Peculiar. I, Olivia Spratt, of Kinson in the Parish of Great Canford in the County of Dorset being of sound mind and understanding by weak in body do make this my last will and testament. I direct that my property of every description (except as is thereafter expressed) shall be sold and turned into money and disposed of in the following manner. First that all my just debts, funeral expenses, and the expenses of proving this my will shall be paid as soon as possible after my decease and that my wearing apparel, bed, beding (sic), bed linen and bed furniture I give to my niece Sarah Pierce of Ragged Row near Horton and near Winbourne in the County of Dorset and that the residue of my property whatever it may be i give to my nephew Thomas Spratt now residing in some part of the Island of Newfoundland. And that I appoint Samuel Strong Junior of Poole in the County of Dorset my sole Executor. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this thrid day of December one thousand eight hundred and twenty-nine. George Nickleson Allen1

     George Nickleson Allen was born on January 11, 1750 in Poole, Dorset, England, parents are Richard & Eliz Allen.2,3
     George married Mary Francis Spratt, daughter of Samuel Spratt and Mary Slade, on January 13, 1782 in Poole.1 Brothers John, Thomas, David Slade all sons of the Merchant John Slade's late brother Robert Slade and his cousin George Nickleson Allen received from his estate all of the Merchant John Slade's fishing rooms, plantations, warehouses, stages, salmon brooks, sealing posts in Newfoundland and on the coast of Labrador. All boats, crafts, all goods and property, also all ships and vessels to be equally divided between them.

Also "All Household goods, furniture, plate, wearing apparel to be divided equally between John Slade & Thomas Slade sons of my late brother Robert Slade, Robert Slade, son of my late brother James Slade and George Nickleson Allen."4 Was found the punative father of the child to be born of Sarah Pearce.5 George died on February 19, 1822 in Poole at age 72.6
