     Amy Amelia Slade was born on April 19, 1893 in Granger, Salt Lake, Utah.1 She was the daughter of William Alfred Slade and Annie Swan.1 Amy died on December 18, 1965 in Riverton City Cemetery, Richfield, Sevier Co, Utah, at age 72.1

William Elbert "Bill" Slade1

(19 March 1895 - 18 September 1968)
     William Elbert "Bill" Slade was born on March 19, 1895 in Granger, Salt Lake, Utah.1 He was the son of William Alfred Slade and Annie Swan.1
     William married Chloe Isabelle Thacker on October 10, 1923 in Salt Lake LDS Temple, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.1 William died on September 18, 1968 in Kaysville, Davis Co., Utah, at age 73.1 His obituary read as follows:

KAYSVILLE--William Elbert Slade, 73, of 158 N. 4th E., Kaysville Medical Center of a heart attack.
He was born March 19, 1895, in Granger, a son of William Alfred and Annie Swain Slade.
He was married to Chloe Isabelle Thacker on October 10, 1923, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mr. Slade was reared in Morgan and moved to Heber City in 1923. In 1947 he moved to Kaysville.
Following the death of his mother when he was 1 1/2 years old, he was reared by Mr. and Mrs. William Dickson of Morgan.
He was retired from Hill Air Force Base, was a member of the Kaysville 8th LDS Ward, was a member of the American Legion, Post No. 82 of Kaysville. During World War I he served with the Army.
Surviving are his widow, two sons and three daughters, Curtis W. Slade, Harold D. Slade, Mrs. DeLoy (Beth) Reid, all of Kaysville; Mrs. Lioner (Norma) Simmons, Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Don (Rhea) Manning, Farmington; 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Kaysville LDS 8th Ward Chapel, 2nd E. and Center, with Bishop Wendell Cheney officiating.

Friends may call at Lindquist;s Kaysville Mortuary, 230 N. Main, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery.

     Curtis William Slade was born on February 22, 1926 in Heber City, Wassatch Co., Florida.1 He was the son of William Elbert "Bill" Slade and Chloe Isabelle Thacker.1
     Curtis married Roselyn Woodward on November 6, 1952 in Salt Lake LDS Temple, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.1 Curtis died on October 13, 2005 in Kaysville, Davis Co., Utah, at age 79.1 He was buried in Kayseville City Cemetery, Kaysville, Davis Co., Utah.1 His obituary read as follows:

KAYSVILLE - Curtis William Slade, 79, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005, at his home of congestive heart failure.
Curtis was born February 22, 1926, in Heber City, Utah, son of William Elbert and Chloe Thacker Slade. Graduated Wasatch High School, 1945. Attended University of Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University, 1949. Served an LDS mission to Brazil 1949-1952. Married Roselyn Woodward in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 6, 1952.
Retired from government civil service work at Hill Air Force Base after 35 years. Curtis was happiest when he was playing with his grandchildren, tinkering in his shop (he could repair anything), and outside working in his garden.
Survived by his wife, Roselyn, of Kaysville; daughters, Kathleen (Layne) Hofer, Gilbert, AZ; Janalee (David) Green, Fruit Heights; Amy (Terrill) Lemke, Los Alamos, NM; and sons, Keith (Karen), Salt Lake City; Neal (Elaine), Kaysville; Douglas (Terresa), Kaysville; Russell (Darcie), W. Bountiful; sisters, Norma Simmons, Mesa, AZ; Rhea (Don) Manning, Farmington; Beth (DeLoy) Reid, Kaysville; 27 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Elbert "J" Slade and Harold Dean Slade, brother-in-law, Lionel Simmons and nephew Brian Slade. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 13th Ward, 875 E. 200 No. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.      Harold Dean Slade was born on March 27, 1931 in Heber City, Wassatch Co., Utah.1 He was the son of William Elbert "Bill" Slade and Chloe Isabelle Thacker.1 Harold died on February 10, 2004 in Utah at age 72.1 His obituary read as follows:

KAYSVILLE - Harold Dean Slade passed way February 10, 2004 after a battle with cancer.
He was born March 27, 1931 at home in Heber City, Utah, the fourth child of William Elbert Slade and Chloe Isabelle Thacker. He was reared in Heber City and in Kaysville.
He served in the Marine Corps and then received his call to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Japanese mission, serving for three years.
He married Del Rae Secrist, December 20, 1957 in the Idaho Falls Temple. She died April 14, 1994.
He married Freda Curtis Broadhead, September 5, 1995. She died March 3, 1997. He married Marjorie McIntyre Brande Nov. 21, 1998.
He loved to travel and to be outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, cooking with Dutch ovens, and being with family. He was very active in scouting having achieved both the Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver.
He was known throughout Northern Utah for special presentations to Eagle Scouts and presenting neckerchief slides to other scouts.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Kent H. Slade, Logan; Dean E. (Sara) Slade, Layton; two grandchildren, Jordan D., Brian J. Slade, three sisters, Norma Simmons, Mesa, AZ; Rhea (Don) Manning, Farmington; Beth (DeLoy) Reid, Kaysville; one brother, Curtis W. (Roselyn) Slade, Kaysville; mother-in-law, Blanche Secrist, brother- in-law, Jerry E. (Chris) Secrist, eight step-children, Vickie (Deloy) McKenzie, Barbara Bown, Rex (Cindee) Broadhead, Katie Broadhead, Terri (Paul) Smuin, Steven (Jacklyn) Brande, Laura (Marlo) Brotzman, Catherine Brande, Rebecca (Blair) Leishman, 22 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grand children. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Elbert J., son, Brian R. Slade, two wives, father-in-law, and step-son, Curtis Broadhead.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 18th Ward, 1085 No. 50 E.

Friends and family may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville ortuary, 400 North Main and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
