     Sarah Ellsworth Bradley was born in April, 1849 in Maine [death record shows birth as 1847].^1,4 She was the daughter of Charles L. Ellsworth and Caroline Sernd.⁴
     Sarah married Norman Holbrook Slade, son of Horace Thompson Slade and Arrilla T. Holbrook, on April 19, 1882.³ Sarah died on February 11, 1913 at age 63.² She was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw County, Michigan.²

     Leigh Wycoff Slade was born in February, 1890 in Kansas.¹ He was the son of Norman Holbrook Slade and Sarah Ellsworth Bradley.¹ In 1920, his parents were both deceased and his aunt, Elizabeth Fitzmaurice, b Canada, apparently a sister of his mother, was living with him. She and her husband William B Fitzmaurice had been living with the family in 1910.³

     Richard Slade was born circa 1937 in Litchfield County, Connecticut.¹ He was the son of Milton William Slade and Marie Agnes Northrop.¹ Richard died in 1987.²

     Eugenia C. High was born on September 20, 1848 in Wisconsin.¹ She was the daughter of Charles High and Nancy Bartlett Rolfe.¹
     Eugenia married William Kidder Slade, son of Thomas Slade and Olive Volucia Kidder, circa 1872. Eugenia died on December 21, 1928 at age 80¹ and was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota.¹

     Dwight High Slade was born on December 3, 1879 in Lincoln County, Dakota Territory.¹ He was the son of William Kidder Slade and Eugenia C. High.
     Dwight married Tirza Augusta Brown circa 1917. She was the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Sharp and Arthur R. Brown. Dwight died on January 2, 1963 at age 83¹ and was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota.¹

     Althea Ayers was born in March, 1849 in Burlington, Racine County, Wisconsin.¹
     Althea married Samuel Dwight Slade, son of Thomas Slade and Olive Volucia Kidder, circa 1881. Altha is recorded as married 18 years, mother of three, two are still living. Althea died on October 9, 1912 at age 63. She was buried in Burlington Cemetery, Racine County, Wisconsin.

     Alice Luthera Slade was born on December 4, 1883 in Wheatland, Kenosha County, Wisconsin.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Dwight Slade and Althea Ayers.
     Alice married William M. Huse.

     Matt Thomas Slade was born on July 8, 1885 in Slade's Corner, Kenosha County, Wisconsin.² He was the son of Samuel Dwight Slade and Althea Ayers.² Mott was recorded twice in the 1905 Wisconsin State census. Once in Kenosha with his parents and again as a student in Madison living with Thomas Squires family.
     Matt married Rada M. [?] circa 1911 in Wisconsin. Matt Thomas Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, He was living at 5415 Chestnut West, Philadelphia and employed by Aetna Life Insurance Company. Mott was listed in 1932-1941 City Directory of Rochester, NY, as a Manager, Aetna Casualty Company, living at 400 Hollywood Avenue, Brighton, with wife Rada.
     Matt Thomas Slade registered for the draft for World War II, while living at West Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, at 132 Mitchell Street. He was employed by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division, 270 Broadway, New York City.

     William A. Slade was born on November 27, 1919 in Lincoln County, South Dakota. He was the son of Dwight High Slade and Tirza Augusta Brown. He was a Col US Air Force and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Social security card issued in South Dakota.
     William married Bonnie J. Robbins, daughter of Justin Robbins and Nancy Jane Orton, on June 26, 1960 in Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota.¹ William died on April 25, 2005 in Chandler, Maricopa County, Arizona, at age 85. He was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota.²

     Tirza Augusta Brown was born on October 4, 1893 in South Dakota.¹ She was the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Sharp and Arthur R. Brown.
     Tirza married Dwight High Slade, son of William Kidder Slade and Eugenia C. High, circa 1917. Tirza died on November 30, 1976 at age 83 and was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota.

     Brownie Eileen Slade was born on February 23, 1918 in Lincoln County, South Dakota.¹ She was the daughter of Dwight High Slade and Tirza Augusta Brown.
     Brownie married second Allen A. Brewer on December 27, 1945 in South Dakota. Allen and Brownie Brewer arrived in the Port of New York on Oct 23, 1953, aboard the SS United States. Others in their party included, Margaret Brewer, b SD, Slade Brewer, b IL, Jane D. Brewer, b IL, Elizabeth E. Brewer b IL and Mary E. Brewer, b England. They sailed from Southampton, England with other U.S. Military Dependents. Brownie died on July 1, 2001 at age 83¹ and was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota.¹

     William M. Huse was born circa 1885 in Wisconsin.
     William married Alice Luthera Slade, daughter of Samuel Dwight Slade and Althea Ayers.

     Dwight M. Slade was born on February 22, 1912 in Wisconsin.¹ He was the son of Matt Thomas Slade and Rada M. [?]
     Dwight married Margaret Morrissey.² The 1951 City Directory of Rochester, New York, lists Dwight M. Slade as a salesman for Graybar Electric Company, living at 94 Baltimore Drive, Irondequoit, NY. Dwight died on April 30, 1997 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, at age 85 [last known address].¹

     Alvin F. Clark was born in May, 1865 in Wisconsin.
     Alvin married Martha Volucia Slade, daughter of Thomas Slade and Olive Volucia Kidder, on July 13, 1881.
     Alvin married second Ann [?] circa 1895 in Wisconsin.

     Allen A. Brewer was born on May 21, 1911 in Illinois.¹
     Allen married second Brownie Eileen Slade, daughter of Dwight High Slade and Tirza Augusta Brown, on December 27, 1945 in Lincoln County, South Dakota. He was a Col US Air Force and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Allen and Brownie Brewer arrived in the Port of New York on Oct 23, 1953, aboard the SS United States.      James Henry Slade was born in October, 1892 in Connecticut.² He was the son of George G. Slade.² James Henry Slade was New Tag on June 9, 1894 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.³
     James married Mary L. "Mae" Kennedy, daughter of Edward Kennedy and Nora [?].¹ James Henry Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Hartford, Connecticut.³ James died in 1957 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.⁴

     James E. Slade was born on September 22, 1916 in Hartford County, Connecticut.^1,2 He was the son of James Henry Slade and Mary L. "Mae" Kennedy.¹
     James married Mary Kane.^3,4 Mary was the daughter of Henry and Maude (Bronson) Kane.⁴ James died on November 28, 1996 in Connecticut at age 80.^2,5 He was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Windsor Locks, Hartford County, Maryland.³ His obituary read as follows:

      SLADE. James E. Slade, 80, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Mary (Kane) Slade, died Thursday (Nov. 28, 1996). He was born in Windsor Locks, son of the late James and Mary (Kennedy) Slade, and had lived in Wethersfield for over 25 years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Slade was a supervisor for the State of Connecticut D.O.T., where he worked for over 20 years. He had previously been a buyer for the former Brown Thompson Department Store, and he was a devoted communicant of Corpus Christi Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter- in-law, Richard F. and Eileen Slade of Glen Head, NY, and Robert T. Slade of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Sean Slade, Kim Wendt, and Kelly McDonough; and 2 great-grandchildren, Anna and Kelly Wendt. The funeral will be Tuesday (Dec. 3, 1996), 9:30 a.m., from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Windsor Locks.³
