     Sarah married Norman Holbrook Slade, son of Horace Thompson Slade and Arrilla T. Holbrook, on April 19, 1882.3 Sarah died on February 11, 1913 at age 63.2 She was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw County, Michigan.2

     James married Mary Kane.3,4 Mary was the daughter of Henry and Maude (Bronson) Kane.4 James died on November 28, 1996 in Connecticut at age 80.2,5 He was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Windsor Locks, Hartford County, Maryland.3 His obituary read as follows:

      SLADE. James E. Slade, 80, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Mary (Kane) Slade, died Thursday (Nov. 28, 1996). He was born in Windsor Locks, son of the late James and Mary (Kennedy) Slade, and had lived in Wethersfield for over 25 years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Slade was a supervisor for the State of Connecticut D.O.T., where he worked for over 20 years. He had previously been a buyer for the former Brown Thompson Department Store, and he was a devoted communicant of Corpus Christi Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter- in-law, Richard F. and Eileen Slade of Glen Head, NY, and Robert T. Slade of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Sean Slade, Kim Wendt, and Kelly McDonough; and 2 great-grandchildren, Anna and Kelly Wendt. The funeral will be Tuesday (Dec. 3, 1996), 9:30 a.m., from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Windsor Locks.3
