     Frederick married Jessie E. Beattie, daughter of William H. Beattie and Augusta Bell, on May 8, 1938 in Landgrove, Bennington County, Vermont.1,3 Frederick died on November 4, 1961 in Windham County, Vermont, at age 52.2 He was buried in Peru Village Cemetery, Bennington County, Vermont.2

     David Ralph Slade was born on January 4, 1945 in Peru, Bennington County, Vermont.4 He was the son of William Albert Slade and Eva Anna Holton.2,3
     David married Yvonne Edna Galusha, daughter of Charles E. Galusha and Margaret Hanlon, on August 31, 1975.3 David died on February 25, 2000 at age 55.3 He was buried in Middletown Cemetery, Bennington County, Vermont.3 His obituary read as follows:

      BONDVILLE - David Ralph Slade, 55, of Bondville died suddenly Friday at his home.

He was born in Peru, son of William and Eva (Holten) Slade.

He attended Burr & Burton Seminary.

He married Yvonne Galusha on Aug. 31, 1975.

Mr. Slade served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked for the town of Winhall Highway Department, driving a truck and maintaining the roads.

He was a member of the Manchester Eagles Club, the Manchester VFW and the Arlington American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, boating and Nascar racing.

He is survived by his wife of Bondville; three daughters, Pamela Parker of Pawlet, Tracy Bourn of Arlington and Samantha Coleman of Jamaica; his parents, William and Eva Slade of Bondville; seven brothers, Richard Holten of New York, Ronald Slade of Dorset, Lloyd Slade of Manchester, Steven Slade of Manchester, Emmett Slade of Wallingford, George Slade and William Slade; five sisters, Patricia Grant of Manchester, Brenda Hughes of Pawlet, Judy Bushee of Granville, N.Y., Linda DeLong of Manchester, and Cindy Slade of Danby; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Roger Slade, and by a grandchild, Chikoma Bourn.

Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Bondville Church. Burial will follow in the Middletown Cemetery in Bondville. Following the services, the Slade family will welcome friends at the home of Samantha Coleman in Jamaica, for a time of fellowship and refreshment.

     Roger married second Beverly Lucille Bourn on October 9, 1964 in Manchester, Bennington County, Vermont.4,5 Roger Albert Slade and Beverly Lucille Bourn were divorced on March 15, 1975 in Manchester, Vermont.6 Roger died on March 21, 1975 at age 36.1,7,8 He was buried in Middletown Cemetery, Bondville, Bennington County, Vermont.8

     Richard Earl Holton was born on January 16, 1939 in Weston, Windsor County, Vermont, 2nd of twins.4 He was the son of William Albert Slade and Eva Anna Holton.1 Richard married Mary E Tatsey, they had 5 children, Matthew, Mary, Terri, Robert and Clara.5 Richard Earl Holton was living in December, 2002 in Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York.2 Richard died on October 15, 2013 in Schenectady, New York, at age 74.6,7 He was buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, Albany County, New York.8 His obituary read as follows:

      Richard E. Holton, 74, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born in Weston, VT on January 16, 1939, Richard was the son of the late William and Eva Holton Slade.
Richard was educated in Vermont and later moved to Schenectady in the early 80’s and made a home here.
He was a truck driver for ARG Trucking in Rensselaer for many years.
He was a member of VFW Men’s Auxiliary, Post 1895 and a member of the Eagle’s Club in Rotterdam.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary A. (nee: Tatsey) Holton; his children, Matthew Holton, Mary (Wayne) Spencer, Terri (David) Clark, Robert (Theresa Corlew) Maxam and Clara (Andre) Bisaillon; his 7 grandchildren, Jaymes, Jocelyn and Andrew Spencer, Kyle and Deanna Clark and Andre and Natalie Bisaillon; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

     Yvonne Edna Galusha was born on August 11, 1946 in Bennington, Bennington County, Vermont.3 She was the daughter of Charles E. Galusha and Margaret Hanlon.3
     Yvonne married David Ralph Slade, son of William Albert Slade and Eva Anna Holton, on August 31, 1975.2 David died Feb 25, 2000.2 Yvonne died on June 17, 2013 in Bennington, Vermont, at age 66.3 She was buried in Middletown Cemetery, Bondville, Bennington County, Vermont.4 Her obituary read as follows:

      MANCHESTER CENTER - Yvonne E. Slade, 66, a resident of Rootville Road, passed away June 17, 2013, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Yvonne was born in Bennington on Aug. 11, 1946, the daughter of Charles E. and Margaret (Hanlon) Galusha and attended Shaftsbury schools. Yvonne worked as a seamstress and was Uniform Supervisor at the Equinox Hotel for eight years. She then went to work for Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Manchester as a cashier.

Yvonne was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2551 Ladies Auxiliary in Manchester. She loved sewing, reading and had a fond appreciation of television shows, especially M.A.S.H. and Law & Order SVU. She enjoyed vacationing in Maine, and had a deep obsession for shoes.

She cherished times spent with her family.

Yvonne is survived by her daughters, Samantha Wilson and her husband, Jay, of Newfane, Pamela and her husband, Jim LaCoste, of Manchester, and Tracy Bourn and her husband, Alex, of East Dorset; her sister, Ann Troumbley and her husband, Theron, of Dorset; grandchildren Eva Marie, Nikki, Dalton, Justin, Andrew and Amanda; her greatgrandchildren, Peyton, David and Riley, and many brother- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her husband, David R. Slade, whom she married in Manchester on Aug. 31, 1975, died in 2000.

She was predeceased by her brother, Richmond Galusha; by her sister, Maribe Galusha; by her granddaughter, Chikona Marie, and by her son-in-law, Chris Coleman.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside funeral services for Yvonne will be Sunday, June 23, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Middletown Cemetery in Bondville. There will be no visiting hours.

A time of fellowship, refreshments and shared memories will follow at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Manchester Center.
