     Nellie M. Slade was born on July 1, 1910 in Cook County, Illinois.^1,2 She was the daughter of Clinton Arthur Slade and Jessie May Reagor.¹
     Nellie married William A. Berggren on October 6, 1930 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.³ Nellie died on March 16, 1973 in Los Angeles County, California, at age 62.²

     Dorothy Slade was born on January 11, 1925 in Cook County, Illinois.² She was the daughter of Alfred L. Slade and Lillian [?].¹ Married name Langston.³

     Mary Jane Slade was born on August 14, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. [1940 census indicates she was born Illinois, but obituary says Philadelphia]¹ She was the daughter of Alfred L. Slade and Lillian [?].¹
     Mary married George H. Mahaffey in 1955.² Mary died on February 22, 2015 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 82.² Her obituary read as follows:

      Mary Jane (Jane) Mahaffey, 82, of West Grove, Pa. died peacefully in her sleep on February 22, 2015 after a long illness. Jane was born to Alfred and Lillian Slade on August 14, 1932 in Philadelphia. She graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1950 and then attended Beaver College where she majored in music. After graduating in 1954, she sang solo soprano in many recitals and performances. After marrying George H. Mahaffey III in 1955, Jane became a homemaker and professional piano teacher to many young people over the next 40 years. She introduced hundreds of children to the wonders of music and the discipline of learning piano during her teaching tenure. She enjoyed boating and golf and was an energetic leader in her church and community. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Dorothy (Dottie) Langston. Jane is survived by her son George W. Mahaffey, her sister Betty Morgan, and her two grandchildren Evan George Mahaffey and Katharine Leigh Mahaffey. In lieu of flowers or other acknowledgements, the family requests that donations be made to The Boy Scouts of America. Jane had requested a private funeral service to be reunited with her loving husband George H. Mahaffey III.      Harold married Blanche A. Wilson, daughter of William Morris Wilson and Anna Elizabeth Houser, circa 1926.⁵ Harold died on December 14, 1974 in Baltimore County, Maryland, at age 89.⁶

     Everett N. Slade was born in January, 1878 in Bristol County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Leonard A. Slade and Emma F. [?]¹
     Everett married Arseneth B. [?] circa 1896.²

     Francis J. Slade was born circa 1836 in Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Edward Slade and Nancy B. Chace.¹
     Francis married first Phebe C. Gill on October 16, 1856 in Portland, Cumberland, Maine, USA.^2,3 Francis died on April 24, 1898 in Somerset, Massachusets, USA.⁴

     Phebe C. Gill was born circa 1836 in Maine and both her parents were born in Maine.² She was New Tag circa 1842 in Massachusetts.¹
     Phebe married Francis J. Slade, son of Edward Slade and Nancy B. Chace, on October 16, 1856 in Portland, Cumberland, Maine, USA.^1,3

     Eldorus C. Slade was born in August, 1857 in Bristol County, Massachusetts.³ He was the son of Francis J. Slade and Phebe C. Gill.¹
