Son of Petrus (Peter) and Catharina (CIPPERLY) Wiederwachs. Married Anna BORK or BURK 20 November, 1811 at the Town of Schagticoke,Rensselaer Co., NY. Jacob and Anna had seven children: Thomas Weatherwax (1809-1884, married Jane Ann CLARK, twelve children), George J. Weatherwax (1813-before 1875), Susan Elizabeth Weatherwax (1815-1891, married 1. Franklin Sprague HIBBARD, two children, married 2. John Madison INMAN, two children), Catherine C. "Kate" Weatherwax (circa 1816-1897, married Gideon SLADE, JR., eight children), Edwin J. Weatherwax (1818-1900, married Maria Marian MILLER, two children), Jacob F."Jake" Weatherwax (1827-1906, married 1. Sarah CRAPO, one child, married 2. Alma L. MC CULLOUGH, one child) and Ellen Imogene "Gene" Weatherwax (circa 1830-?, married Alfred PARSONS, five children). Jacob's widow Anna emigrated with three of her sons to Eden Twp., Benton Co., IA. She died there on 13 January, 1875 at the age of 82. She lies buried in the Eden Presbyterian Cemetery, Eden Twp., Benton Co., IA.1
