     Adelaide B. Huber was born on January 19, 1883 in Stillwater, Washington County, Minnesota.^1,3 She was the daughter of Joseph H. Huber and Adeline Lemper.²
     Adelaide married Edward Clair Slade, son of Franklin H. Slade and Adaline Murphy, circa 1904 in Dubuque County, Iowa.^1,4 Adelaide died in 1954⁴ and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa.⁴

     Ruth M. Slade was born on December 19, 1906 in Dubuque County, Iowa.² She was the daughter of Edward Clair Slade and Adelaide B. Huber.¹ Ruth died on November 24, 1971 at age 64² and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa.²

     John Clair Slade was born on July 13, 1909 in Dubuque County, Iowa.^1,2 He was the son of Edward Clair Slade and Adelaide B. Huber.³
     John married Lorraine C. Geisler, daughter of Joseph J. Geisler and Clarie M. Hillard.⁴ John Clair Slade enlisted to serve in World War II on March 30, 1944 in Ft. Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.⁵ John died on January 16, 1979 at age 69.^2,6 He was buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado.⁶

     Helen G. Slade was born circa 1912 in Dubuque County, Iowa.² She was the daughter of Edward Clair Slade and Adelaide B. Huber.²
     Helen married Roy I. Theisen M.D.³ Their children were Mary J. and Myna H. Theisen.³ Helen died in 1985.⁴ She was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa.⁵

     Leslie Worth Slade was born on September 10, 1919 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.¹ He was the son of Worth Conger Slade and Hazel Mary Belle McGuire.¹
     Leslie married Edna Donna Kruszynski in Cook County, Illinois.² Leslie died on January 4, 1955 in Tuscon, Pima County, Arizona, at age 35. He was buried in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.³

     Edna Donna Kruszynski went by Donna. She was born on January 24, 1921 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.² The daughter of Bernard and Johanna Kruszynski (nee Pipowski.)²
     Edna married first Leslie Worth Slade, son of Worth Conger Slade and Hazel Mary Belle McGuire, in Cook County, Illinois.² Leslie died in 1955.
     Edna married second Bertram Laurence Snyder M.D. in 1959.² Edna died on April 4, 2013 at age 92.² She was buried in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.² Her obituary read as follows:

      Edna Donna Snyder 92, wife of Bertram L. Snyder M.D. (deceased) passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013.
"Donna" was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 24th, 1921 to parents Bernard and Johanna Kruszynski (nee Pipowski). She grew up in Chicago, modeled and operated an elevator in the popular Marshall Fields Department store downtown. In the 1940's she married Leslie Worth Slade, her high school sweetheart. The couple moved to Phoenix where, following Leslie's untimely death in 1955, Donna worked as a draftsman. She married her second husband, Bertram Laurence Snyder M.D. in 1959. Donna was a beautiful and talented woman. She was accomplished at watercolor, jewelry, and quilting.....she loved gardening and tennis. Active in the community, Donna owned and operated a Sunnyslope area artist's supply shop "DES's Art Mart" in the 60's. John C. Lincoln Hospital benefited from her many hours of service as president of the auxiliary. Donna began the hospital newsletter and later served as a volunteer in the food bank. Donna is survived by her children: Cynthia Graves (Tim) and Ed Snyder (Christine); she is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandson. The family would like to express its gratitude to Tangelo Grove care home for the loving care and respect the entire staff and owner, Julie Lieberman, gave to Donna during her final days. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 West Van Buren Street, Phoenix, AZ 85009 on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 12 Noon. Published in The Arizona Republic on April 10, 2013.²

     Francis Charles Slade was born on November 13, 1885 in Holsworthy, Devon, England.¹ He was the son of Stephen Slade and Ellen [?].²
     Francis married Gladys Madeline Horwell on March 22, 1913 in Holsworthy, Devon.¹ Francis died in February, 1974 in Holsworthy, Devon, at age 88.³

     William S. Burns was born on July 3, 1873.^1,2 He was the son of Florien Burns and [?] Moreland.¹
     William married Gertrude Amelia Slade, daughter of George Victor Slade and Elmira Wilkins, on October 4, 1905 in Algona, Kossuth County, Iowa.¹ William died on April 5, 1935 at age 61² and was buried in Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, Spokane County, Washington.²

     Glenann M. Kessler went by Peach.² She was born on April 23, 1933 in Dubuque County, Iowa.² She was the daughter of Louis F. Kessler and F. Gendoris Callahan.²
     Glenann married Roger Edward Slade, son of Joseph Worth Slade and Irene L. Moore, on July 28, 1952.¹ Glenann died on August 9, 2013 at age 80.² She was buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Mrs. Glenann M. "Peach" Slade, 80, of Dubuque, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

A private service will be held today at Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Burial services will be held on Monday, Aug. 12, Mount Calvary Cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is in charge of arrangements.

Peach was born in Dubuque, on April 23, 1933, daughter of Louis F. and F. Glendoris (Callahan) Kessler. She attended Nativity Catholic School and graduated from The Visitation Academy in 1951.

She married her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, Roger E. Slade, on July 28, 1952. Roger and Peach were married for five short years until his untimely death on May 11, 1958, at the age of 24. They had five children together.

She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1963 and was employed at Mercy Hospital until 1969. While working for the city of Dubuque health department, Peach found her passion caring for children as a school nurse in the parochial school system for countless years until her retirement. She was a strong and compassionate woman who cherished her family and friends.

Surviving are her five children, Suzanne (Dennis) McCarthy, of Dubuque, Roger (Julia) Slade, of Hong Kong, China; Steve (Teresa) Slade, of Dubuque, Sara (Gary) Evers, of St. Paul, Minn., and Peter (Georgia) Slade, of Dubuque; sister, Mary Lou (Jack) Powell, of Carrollton, Texas; brother, Bill (Kay) Kessler, of Cuba City, Wis; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, B. Michael Slade.

     John married Ida M. Leach, daughter of John Leach and Sarah Wheeler, on September 22, 1900 in Marshall County, Iowa.⁶ John and Ida were divorced before 1905.³
     John married second Chloe Adalade Slade, daughter of Gideon Slade Jr. and Catherine C. Weatherwax.⁷ John died in 1946.¹ He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Rodman, Palo Alto County, Iowa.¹

Note: The 1925 Iowa State census confirms that this John Pool's father was William Pool, b Ohio and his mother's maiden name was McGunegill, born Indiana.⁸

     Roy I. Theisen M.D. was born circa 1901 in Iowa.¹
     Roy married Helen G. Slade, daughter of Edward Clair Slade and Adelaide B. Huber.¹ Their children were Mary J. and Myna H. Theisen.¹ Roy died in 1962.² He was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa.²

     George Schilds was born circa 1850 in Michigan.
     George married Mary Ann Leist.

     Lorraine C. Geisler was born on June 30, 1911.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph J. Geisler and Clarie M. Hillard.²
     Lorraine married John Clair Slade, son of Edward Clair Slade and Adelaide B. Huber.¹ Lorraine died in May, 1993 in Arapahoe County, Colorado, at age 81.¹ Lorraine died in Roselawn Cemetery, Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado.³

     Lois Adelle Slade was born on June 8, 1925 in Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa.² She was the daughter of Edward Clair Slade and Adelaide B. Huber.¹
     Lois married Sam T. Pusateri.^3,2 Lois died on August 27, 2002 at age 77.^3,2 She was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa.²

     Sam T. Pusateri was born on May 14, 1922 in Sicily.^1,2
     Sam married Lois Adelle Slade, daughter of Edward Clair Slade and Adelaide B. Huber.^1,3 Sam died on March 16, 2010 at age 87.¹ He was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Dubuque County, Iowa.¹
