     Mary Day was born on October 23, 1713 in Baltimore County, Maryland.² She was the daughter of Nicholas Day and Elizabeth Cox.^1,2
     Mary married Josias Slade, son of William Slade and Elizabeth [?], on January 16, 1738 in St. Margaret's Parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland.² Mary died in My Lady's Manor Lot 38, Baltimore County, Maryland.² She was buried in Saint James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Monkton, Baltimore County, Maryland.²

     Isabella married Thomas Slade Jr., son of Thomas Slade and Hannah Miles, in 1782 in North Carolina.¹ Isabella died in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹

     Sarah Ann Hartzell was born on November 20, 1836 in Darke County, Ohio.¹
     Sarah married Alfred Slade, son of John Slade and Eliza Ann Weaver, on July 9, 1854 in Ohio.² Sarah died on May 13, 1916 in Ohio at age 79.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Joshua Hightower was born in 1770 in Amelia County, Virginia.¹
     Joshua married first Delilah Slade, daughter of Thomas Slade and Hannah Miles, in 1793.¹
     Joshua married second Eunice Lea, daughter of Mr. Lea and Betsy Slade, on March 31, 1800 in Yanceyville, Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ Joshua died in 1843 in Monroe County, Indiana.¹

     Elizabeth Ann Hutchins was born in 1768 in Atlanta, Harford County, Maryland.¹
     Elizabeth married John Slade, son of Ezekiel Slade and Ann Whitaker, on March 22, 1803 in Baltimore County, Maryland.^2,1 Elizabeth died on September 1, 1851 in Verdant Valley, Harford County, Maryland.¹ She was buried in Saint James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Monkton, Baltimore County, Maryland.¹

     Martha Kerr was born on August 30, 1763 in Hanover Co., Virginia.¹
     Martha married William Slade, son of Thomas Slade and Hannah Miles, on December 22, 1786 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ Martha died in July, 1850 in North Carolina at age 86.¹ Last Will & Testament, Caswell Co., North Carolina, WB 1843-1868, pp. 42-43 Named her nieces and nephews (children of Sicily Gooch Hightower.)¹

     Hannah Miles was born in Baltimore County, Maryland.¹
     Hannah married Thomas Slade, son of William Slade and Elizabeth [?], on September 29, 1748 in St John's Parish, Harford County, Maryland.² Hannah was widowed when her husband, Thomas, died on April 10, 1798 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ Hannah died in October, 1813 in North Carolina.¹

In the Name of God amen, I Hannah Slade of the County of Caswell and State of North Carolina being in health of Body and of perfect mind & memory thanks be given unto god Calling unto mind the mortality of my Body Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die go make and Ordain this my last Will & Testament, That is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul to god that gave it. And my body I recommend to the Earth to be buryd in a decent christian Buryl at the discretion of my friends Nothing doubting but at the general resurrection, I shal receive the same again by the almighty power of God and as tuching such worldly Estate wherewith, It hath been pleased God to bless me in this life with, I give Devise and Dispose of the same in following and form.
     
First I give & bequeath to my son Ezekiel Slade forty acres of Land to include his present dwelling House & to extend to my west line;
     
Item 2nd I give & bequeath unto my son Jonah Slade the remainder of Land & improvements; three Negroes Dinah David & Milton, they & their increase from the sealing of these presents, with all my stock of every kind all my household and Kitchen furniture & all my plantation tools of every description.
     
Item 3rd I also give & Bequeath to my Son Thomas Slade one Negro Boy, Named Ned - It is my desire and will that the balance of my Estate be Sold to the highest bidder & equally Divided between my Children as follows - William Slade, Nathaniel Slade, Susannah Talbert, Catharine Lea, & Hannah Lea.
     
Item 4th & Lastly I nominate & appoint My Son Thomas Slade sole Executor of this my last will & Testament & I do hereby utterly disallow Revoke & disannul all & every other former Testaments Wills Legacies ore beqiueathes By me in any wise before Named, Willed or Bequeathed Ratifiing & Confirming this and no other to be my last Will & Testament -

James Miles Richard B. Gunn State of North Carolina Caswell County October Court 1813 The Execution of this will was duly proved in open Court by the Oaths of James Miles and Richard B. Gunn the two subscribing Witnesses thereto and on Motion ordered to be recorded - At the same time Thomas Slade the within named Executor duly qualified to execute the same and letters of Testamentary issued accordinly.      Lodema J. Slade was born in July, 1866 in Darke County, Ohio.² She was the daughter of Isaac Slade and Mary Ann Martin.²
     Lodema married Thomas Hathaway on August 7, 1897 in Ohio.² After her divorce, she lived with her sister Arzura (Slade) Vanata.² Lodema died in 1947 in Ohio.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Arzura Virginia Slade was born in November, 1863 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Slade and Mary Ann Martin.¹
     Arzura married James A. Vanatta, son of Aaron Vanatta and Laura 'Flory' Branch, on April 6, 1893 in Ohio.¹ Arzura died on July 28, 1935 in Ohio at age 71.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Mary Ann Martin was born in 1838 in Ohio.²
     Mary married Isaac Slade, son of John Slade and Eliza Ann Weaver, on September 12, 1862 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ Mary died on September 4, 1879² and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.²

     James A. Vanatta was born on January 24, 1859 in Van Buren Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Aaron Vanatta and Laura 'Flory' Branch.¹
     James married Arzura Virginia Slade, daughter of Isaac Slade and Mary Ann Martin, on April 6, 1893 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ James died on October 31, 1934 in Ohio at age 75.¹ He was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Ann Mutchner was born on February 3, 1768 in Pennsylvania [from tombstone 73y 5m 27d computes to Feb 3, 1778, however, this is unlikely if marriage date and birth of son Christopher is correct in 1788].²
     Ann married Abraham Slade, son of Ezekiel Slade and Ann Whitaker, on December 6, 1788.¹ Ann died on July 30, 1851 at age 83.² She was buried in West Liberty, Baltimore County, Maryland.²

     Rachel Mutchner was born in 1763 in My Lady's Manor Lot 43, Baltimore County, Maryland.^2,1
     Rachel married Thomas Slade, son of Ezekiel Slade and Ann Whitaker, on December 18, 1784 in My Lady's Manor, Maryland.² Rachel died on September 25, 1825 in MLM Lots 99, 100, Maryland.¹ She was buried in Saint James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Monkton, Baltimore County, Maryland.¹

     William Westfall was born in 1791 in Virginia.¹
     William married Rebecca Slade, daughter of Nicholas Slade and Martha "Polly" Amos, on June 29, 1813 in Montgomery County, Ohio.¹ William died on January 21, 1852 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ He was buried in Martin Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹
