Jane married Robert Earl Slade M.D., son of Edwin Turpie Slade and Edna Hearin.1 Jane died on July 2, 1997 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas, at age 71.1 She was buried in Waco Memorial Park, Waco, McLennan County, Texas

Jane Connor Slade, 71, of Waco passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 2, 1997.
Services will be at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 1997. Interment will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Mrs. Slade was born September 25, 1925, in Longview, Texas, to Chester Connor and Louise Davis Connor. She was a long time resident of Waco. She was a founding member of LNA Newcomers Club.
Mrs. Slade is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert E. Slade, January 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Wayne Slade of Waco, George B. Slade of Austin; two daughters, Sharon S. Sanders of North Carolina, Janet E. Payne of Houston; nine grandsons; and a step-father, J.G. Lester of Saint Charles, Missouri.
