     Richard Willett was born in 1564 in Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Willett and Elizabeth Stanton?1
     Richard married Katherine Hawke on May 6, 1591 in Yardley, Hertford, England.2 Richard died in 1597.1 Richard witnessed the Last Will and Testament of Tomm Smith.3 The Last Will and Testatment of Sampson Willett of Norfolk, mentions "Richard Willett, my knsman whome after appoint to be my Executor."4 Richard was named in the Last Will and Testament of Micheal Svoland. He was bequeathed "all Burgesses of tours" to his dear friendRichard Willett.5

Thomas Willett1

(29 August 1605 - 4 August 1675)
     Thomas Willett was born on August 29, 1605 in Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was the son of Andrew Willett and Jacobine Goad.1 Thomas was raised by his grandmother in Amsterdam, Holland to be a merchant and became fluent in both Dutch and English.2 Thomas immigrated from He arrived with the Puritan Colony aboard the ship Lyon to Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1632.2
     Thomas married Mary Brown on July 6, 1636 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.2 Thomas was working for the Kennebee Trading Co. While in charge of the Kennebee Post, he learned of the Natives plan to kill the whites and rob their house. When the native warriors arrived they found Thomas reading his Bible; he looked up at them so solemnly that they returned to their tribe. They told their elders his face showed he knew of their plot which the great book was telling him.2 Thomas Willett served in He replaced Miles Standish in command of the Plymouth military company as Captain Willett. in 1648.2 He was Captain Willet was assistant to Governor Winthrop in 1651.2 Thomas bought land He was one of the orignial owners in Taunton in 1653 in Taunton, Massachusetts.2 Thomas was land bought 1280 acres land in Wanamoiset, originally part of Rohoboth, R.I. and later part of Swansea, MA in 1655.2 Thomas was appointed Mayor of New York (New Harlem). It is believed his family stayed in Swansea during the time he was mayor.3
     Thomas married Joanna Boyce in September, 1671 in Providence, Rhode Island, Colonial America.2 Thomas died on August 4, 1675 in Swansea, Massachusetts, at age 69.3 He was buried in Little Neck Cemetery, Providence, Rhode Island, He was buried next to his first wife.3
