     Jennie married Henry Herbert Slade, son of Joseph Slade and Jane Sarney, circa 1905.² Mrs. Henry Slade was honored on Sunday, at an open house to celebrate her 7th birthday. At that time, she had three daughters living in Rockford. Mrs. Sam Plapp, Mrs. Gordon Sanderson and Mrs. Clifford Carrison.³ Jennie died in 1962.¹ She was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, DeKalb, Dekalb County, Illinois.¹

     George Sarney Slade was born on December 7, 1915 in Dekalb County, Illinois.^3,1 He was the son of Henry Herbert Slade and Jennie Sophie Swanson.¹

     Henry married Mary Eleanor Potter, daughter of William John Potter and Grace Maria, in June, 1940 in Nashua, Iowa.¹ Henry died on July 13, 1997 at age 79.⁴ He was buried in Afton Center Cemetery, DeKalb, Dekalb County, Illinois.⁵
