     Ralph Edward Slade was known as Ralph Edward Slade.3 He was born on November 29, 1902 in Twillingate, Newfoundland, Canada.3,4,1 He was the son of Edward Slade and Johanna "Ann" Chalk.1 Ralph immigrated from to Toronto, Peel, Ontario, Canada, in 1918.5 Crossed the US border with his mother, arriving in Buffalo, N.Y. from Twillingate, Newfoundland.6 He crossed the US border from Canada to United States on March 25, 1924 at in Buffalo, New York.7
     Ralph married Anna Violet Adams, daughter of Eugene Adams and Dorcas Taylor, on April 24, 1926 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.8 Crossed the border to return to Toronto after a visit with his brother Albert Small.9 Ralph Edward Slade, 40, appeared on a Manifest at Port of Detroit, Michigan on April 7, 1944 and declared his nationality was Canadian.10 Ralph died in 1989.11 He was buried in St. Andrew's Presbyterian/United Cemetery, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.12,11 His headstone includes a Masonic insignia.11
