     Robert John Slade was born on June 16, 1927 in Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin.² He was the son of Charles Wendell Slade and Caroline Ann Wilz.¹
     Robert married Barbara D. Mayer in Maricopa County, Arizona.² Robert died on June 29, 2015 at age 88.² He was buried in Holbrook Cemetery, Navajo County, Arizona.² His obituary read as follows:

      Robert (Bob) 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Holbrook, AZ on June 29, 2015. He was born on June 16, 1927 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Caroline Wilz and Charlie Slade. At age 8, the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended grade school and St. Mary's High School. Bob was a member of the 82nd Airborne as a radio-telephone operator during WWII. He married Barbara D. Mayer on June 18, 1949 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Phoenix. Bob worked at the U.S. Post Office for three years before joining Arizona Public Service as a lineman. While living in Phoenix, his seven children were born. Later he moved to Holbrook as an electrician to work on Unit One at the Cholla Plant and later became district serviceman until his retirement from APS after 33 years of service. Bob was very active in Boy Scouts, serving as a Scoutmaster when his boys were scouts. He joined the Elks and has been an active member for 57 years. He was also active in his church as a member of the Knights of Columbus where he served as Grand Knight and in the Hashknife Pony Express where he served as captain for several years. After his retirement from APS, Bob and Bobbie ran the Barnyard Nursery. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and sponsored several softball teams during the summer leagues. Bob and Bobbie loved to spend time in the forest camping, fishing, boating, and visiting with his summer-time friends at Big Bear. You would always find him with his kids and grandchildren feeding chipmunks and cooking fantastic meals in his extensive kitchen. One of his favorite activities was riding in a boat dressed as Santa for the Christmas in July parade throughout the campground. Survivors include his loving wife, Bobbie; four sons: Dan (Sue), Bill (Jo), Tom (Karin), and Pat (Melinda); two daughters: Sue Wischmann (C.J.) and Debbie Hollins (Jesse); 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment will follow at the Holbrook Cemetery. Services handled by Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ Holbrook.² NOTE: Robert John Slade was possibly a child of Caroline Wilz who married Carl John Brockman on Aug 28, 1926, in Menominee, Michigan, as Robert was born Jun 16, 1927. It is unlikely that he was a child of Caroline and Charles W Slade as they were not married until 1929. Robert does not appear with them in 1930 census, so another possibility is that he was adopted, and not a child of either.³

     Freda Eloise Slade was born on March 28, 1902 in Nipissing District, Ontario, Canada.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.¹
     Freda married Godfrey Victor Wilbee, son of Arthur Frank Wilbee and Emma Foothill, on August 20, 1924 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.¹ Freda died on October 7, 1988 in Vancouver, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 86.⁴

     Frederick Guy Slade was born on January 9, 1893 in Niagra Falls, Welland, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was the son of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.¹ Frederick enlisted in on May 26, 1916 in New Lerkeard, Ontario, Canada, at age 23.²
     Frederick married Marjorie Elizabeth Hooper on March 6, 1919 in St. Matthew, Brixton: Brixton Hill, Lambeth, London, England.^3,4 Frederick was a G.R.W. Sapper 6th C.R.T. (a military engineer.)⁴ Frederick and Marjorie have two sons and two daughters.⁵ Frederick died on April 19, 1970 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 77.³ He was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.⁶

     Marjorie Elizabeth Hooper went by Elizabeth.² She was born circa 1900.³
     Marjorie married Frederick Guy Slade, son of George William Slade and Annie Goodes, on March 6, 1919 in St. Matthew, Brixton: Brixton Hill, Lambeth, London, England.^1,4 Marjorie died in February, 1990.⁵ She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.⁵

     Ethel Clair Slade was born in 1896 in Niagra Falls, Ontario, Canada.¹ She was the daughter of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.¹
     Ethel married Louis Pilkington.¹ Ethel died on February 17, 1921.¹ She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.¹

     George Thomas Slade was born on November 3, 1890 in Ontario, Canada.³ He was the son of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.¹
     George married Lillian Maud Blackwell on March 7, 1926 in Changhai, China.⁴ George Thomas Slade George has a daughter & son. George died on January 31, 1972 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 81.⁴

     Harry Eldridge Slade was born on May 24, 1898 in Welland, Ontario, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.^1,2 Harry & Jean are the parents of two daughters and a son.³
     Harry married Jean Louisa Lavina West on June 27, 1922 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.⁴ Harry died on October 30, 1973 in Vancouver, British Columbia, at age 75.⁵ He was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.⁵

     Hubert Arthur Slade was born on January 11, 1904 in Nipissing, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was the son of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.²
     Hubert married Ruth Nightscales, daughter of Henry Smith Nightscales and Annie Hestor Mizon, on October 16, 1930 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.³ Hubert died on June 8, 1998 in Sechelt, British Columbia, Canada, at age 94.⁴ He Children mentioned in obit: Rod, Bill, Brad, Allan, Jason.⁴

     Leroy Edgar Slade was born on January 26, 1906 in Dymond, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was the son of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.²
     Leroy married Vera Marion Stewart, daughter of James Albert Stewart and Minnie Dedman, on January 27, 1924 in New Liskeard, Timiskaming, Ontario, Canada.³ Leroy Edgar Slade has a son and 3 daughters.⁴ Leroy died on March 11, 1995 in White Rock, Vancouver, Canada, at age 89.^5,6 He was buried in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.⁶

     Shirley Thora Slade was born on July 23, 1907 in Ontario, Canada.^1,3 She was the daughter of George William Slade and Annie Goodes.¹ Shirley married Alix McLeod in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 30, 1938.² Shirley died on February 17, 1977 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 69.^2,4
