     Anna Violet Adams was born circa 1902 in Harbor Grace, Newfoundland, Canada.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of Eugene Adams and Dorcas Taylor.¹ Anna Violet Adams crossed the US border from Canada to United States on October 10, 1925 at in Detroit, Michigan.⁴
     Anna married Ralph Edward Slade, son of Edward Slade and Johanna "Ann" Chalk, on April 24, 1926 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.¹ Anna died in 1970.³ She was buried in St. Andrew's Presbyterian/United Cemetery, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.³

     Edson Slade was born on July 10, 1913 in Bennington County, Vermont.^1,2 He was the son of Charles Henry Slade and Jessie Mable Fiege.¹
     Edson married Mary Ellen Chavarry on August 28, 1964 in North Adams, Berkshire County, Massachusetts,^3,4,5, the daughter of Jeannette Dorothy (Pushard) & Frank Juan Chavarry.⁵ Edson died on September 17, 1983 in Stamford, Bennington County, Vermont, at age 70.³

     Edith Loretta Teague was born on July 7, 1911.²
     Edith married George Henry Slade, son of Charles Henry Slade and Bessie E. Bishop.¹ Edith died in December, 1973 at age 62.² She was buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.³

     Raymond A. Slade was born on June 1, 1945 in Johnson County, Iowa.^1,2 He was the son of George Henry Slade and Edith Loretta Teague.¹ Raymond died on July 6, 2008 at age 63¹ and was buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.¹ His obituary read as follows:

      Raymond Slade 63, of Iowa City died suddenly Sunday, July 6, 2008. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name. Raymond's family includes sister, Shirley Slade-Lesher of Westside, IA; brothers, Donald "Tucker" Slade (Anita), of Coralville, Robert Slade (Sandy) of Kissimmee, FL, Richard "Dick" Slade of Iowa City, David Slade of North Liberty, Michael Slade of North Liberty; two sisters-in-law, Donna Slade of Coralville, and Deloris Slade of Coralville and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George W. ("Billy) Slade, Kenneth Slade, Russell Slade, Daniel Slade; brother-in-law, Ross Lesher Sr; and sister-in-law, Roberta Slade.¹

     Donald Earl Slade went by Tucker.¹ He was born on January 16, 1937 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.^2,3 He was the son of George Henry Slade and Edith Loretta Teague.²
     Donald married Anita Enderle on May 1, 1965 in Muscatine County, Iowa.¹ Donald Earl Slade resided in Coralville, Johnson County, Iowa, in July, 2008; wife, Anita.² Donald died on September 3, 2016 in Iowa City, Iowa, at age 79.¹ His obituary read as follows:

"Tucker" Slade, 79, of Coralville, died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital.A funeral service will be held 7 p.m., Friday, September 9th at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service where military rites will be rendered following the service. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service, from 4-7 p.m. also on Friday. Memorials in Tucker's name may be directed to the Special Olympics or the Coralville American Legion. He worked for many years as a computer programmer, for both Westinghouse and Seaburg & Smith, until retiring in 1999. In his younger years Tucker was known in the area for his fast pitch pitching, pitching for many local teams. He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, his trips to the casino, and was a very loyal Cubs and Hawkeye Fan; Most of all, Tucker, loved being grandpa!Tucker had also been a long-time member, and active part of the Coralville American Legion for many years.His family includes his wife, Anita; children, Deanna Dicken (Brandon), Tricia Slade (Kris Duncan) and Tony Slade (Camille); grandchildren, Keily Slade, Kelsey Christiaanson, Jack, Cameron, Anthony and Lewis Slade; great-grandchildren, Trey Christiaanson and Paige Black; and his siblings, Richard, Bob, Mike and David Slade and Shirley Slade Lesher.He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Kenny, Russell, Raymond, Danny and Billy and his nephew, Steve.Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Tucker's family and his services.Published in the Press-Citizen on Sept. 7, 2016.¹

     David Neal Slade was born on January 26, 1943 in Johnson County, Iowa.¹ He was the son of George Henry Slade and Edith Loretta Teague.² David Neal Slade resided in North Liberty, Johnson County, Iowa, in July, 2008.² David died on February 1, 2020 in North Liberty, Iowa, at age 77.¹

     George William Slade was born on January 21, 1931 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.¹ He was the son of George Henry Slade and Edith Loretta Teague.² George died in November, 1992 at age 61.² He was buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.³

     Kenneth de Waine Slade was born on April 9, 1933 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.^1,2 He was the son of George Henry Slade and Edith Loretta Teague.¹
     Kenneth married Donna May Bryant on November 16, 1952 in Iowa City, Iowa.^3,4 Kenneth died on September 3, 1974 at age 41.^1,5 He was buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.⁵

     Russell Slade was born on December 26, 1934 in Johnson County, Iowa.¹ He was the son of George Henry Slade and Edith Loretta Teague.¹ Russell died in February, 1984 in Iowa at age 49.¹
