The Desloge, Mo., native was born July 17, 1959. He was a master electrician with KD Electric and a member of Plano Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Kenneth Eugene Slade and Mariedta Jamison Presson of Park Hills, Mo., who survives. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Margaret Slade Hopkins; and a grandfather, Harold Eugene Slade.
Funeral is at 4 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel. Cremation was chosen with burial at a later date. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Other survivors include his wife, Joyce Geron Slade and loving pet, Sandy, of Three Forks Community; two sons, Chris Meredith and his wife, Kelly, and Donny Meredith and his wife, Ann Marie, all of Bowling Green; a granddaughter, Katie Meredith of Bowling Green; two sisters, Kathy Tenholder and her husband, Ed, of Bonne Terre, Mo., and LaDonna Blair and her husband, Norris, of Bismark, Mo; three brothers, Harold Slade of Desloge, Allen Petrie of Missouri and Terry Slade of Louisiana; two stepbrothers, Kevin Boren and Bruce Boren, both of Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.1
