     Thomas S. Slade was born in November, 1904 in Vigo County, Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of Albert Algernon Slade and Agnes Veronica Cattell.¹ Thomas died in September, 1914 at age 9^3,2 and was buried in Grandview Cemetery, Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana.²

     Genevieve Evelyn Slade was born on January 31, 1909 in Vigo County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Albert Algernon Slade and Agnes Veronica Cattell.¹ Genevieve died in September, 1994 at age 85.² She was buried in Grandview Cemetery, Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana.²

     Elizabeth Maria Slade was born in November, 1854 in England.¹ She was the daughter of Algernon Slade and Catherine Smith. Elizabeth Maria Slade was New Tag on December 30, 1855.
     Elizabeth married first Albert Slade, son of William Slads and Hephzibah [?], on August 26, 1872 in St. Andrews, Enfield, England.²
     Elizabeth married second Thomas Hooper.¹ Elizabeth died on May 10, 1921 in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, at age 66.

     Albert Arthur Slade was born on March 6, 1876 in Enfield, England.^3,2 He was the son of Henry Peach Slade and Harriett Wheller Russel.¹ Albert and Harriett immigrated from from England to United States in 1877.³
     Albert married Nellie Katherine Hall, daughter of William N. Hall and Katherine Nelson Farrow, on October 30, 1901 in Wilton, Muscatine County, Iowa.⁴ Albert Arthur Slade was the Superintendant of Schools.⁵ Albert died on February 11, 1971 at age 94^6,7 and was buried in Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado.⁷

     Nellie Katherine Hall was born on December 21, 1876 in Indiana.² She was the daughter of William N. Hall and Katherine Nelson Farrow.²
     Nellie married Albert Arthur Slade, son of Henry Peach Slade and Harriett Wheller Russel, on October 30, 1901 in Wilton, Muscatine County, Iowa.² Nellie Katherine Hall was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Cody, Park County, Wyoming.³ Nellie died on August 14, 1973 at age 96⁴ and was buried in Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado.⁴

     John James Slade was born circa 1836 in Portsea, Hampshire, England.¹ He was born in 1836 in Portsea, Hampshire.³ He was the son of Thomas Slade and Sophia Ann Humphrey.¹
     John married Jane Elizabeth McLellan on July 1, 1858 in Chatham, Kent, England. John James Slade was a schoolmaster.⁴ John died in 1893.

     Harriett Wheller Russel was born in February, 1844 in Symondsbury, Dorset, England.² She was the daughter of Charles Russel and Eliza Wheller.^3,4
     Harriett married Henry Peach Slade, son of Henry George Slade and Eve Stoodley, on October 10, 1869 in Pilsdon, Dorset, England.^1,2 Harriett and Albert immigrated from from England to United States in 1877.² Harriett is the mother of 3, two of whom are living.²

     Charles Henry Slade was New Tag in May, 1873 in Franklin County, Iowa.^2,3 He was born in May, 1873 in England.¹ He was the son of Henry Peach Slade and Harriett Wheller Russel.⁴ Charles immigrated from England in 1879.³
     Charles married Bessie E. Bishop, daughter of Jeremiah Knox Bishop and Adelia Lacy, on April 30, 1894 in Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.⁵ Charles Henry Slade was a guard at the Iowa State Reformatory in 1921.⁶ Charles was widowed when his wife, Charles, died in 1944⁷ and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.⁷

     William Eugene Slade was known as Bill Slade.² He was born on July 17, 1959 in Saint Francois County, Missouri.¹ He was the son of Kenneth Eugene Slade and Mary Lou Dush.^1,2
     William married Joyce Geron.¹ William Eugene Slade was living in 2005 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.² William died on November 11, 2008 in Three Forks Community, Warren County, Kentucky, at age 49.¹ His obituary read as follows:

           William “Bill” Eugene Slade, a.k.a “Sir William of Slade,” 49, of The Three Forks Community died at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008, at his residence.
     The Desloge, Mo., native was born July 17, 1959. He was a master electrician with KD Electric and a member of Plano Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Kenneth Eugene Slade and Mariedta Jamison Presson of Park Hills, Mo., who survives. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Margaret Slade Hopkins; and a grandfather, Harold Eugene Slade.
     Funeral is at 4 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel. Cremation was chosen with burial at a later date. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
     Other survivors include his wife, Joyce Geron Slade and loving pet, Sandy, of Three Forks Community; two sons, Chris Meredith and his wife, Kelly, and Donny Meredith and his wife, Ann Marie, all of Bowling Green; a granddaughter, Katie Meredith of Bowling Green; two sisters, Kathy Tenholder and her husband, Ed, of Bonne Terre, Mo., and LaDonna Blair and her husband, Norris, of Bismark, Mo; three brothers, Harold Slade of Desloge, Allen Petrie of Missouri and Terry Slade of Louisiana; two stepbrothers, Kevin Boren and Bruce Boren, both of Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.¹

     Charles Russel was born circa 1816 in Beaminster, Dorset, England.¹
     Charles married Eliza Wheller.¹

     Esau Russel was born circa 1850 in Netherbury, Dorset, England.² He was the son of Charles Russel and Eliza Wheller.¹

     Bessie E. Bishop was born in January, 1879 in Pennsylvania.^3,1,4 She was the daughter of Jeremiah Knox Bishop and Adelia Lacy.⁵
     Bessie married Charles Henry Slade, son of Henry Peach Slade and Harriett Wheller Russel, on April 30, 1894 in Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.⁵ Bessie was widowed when her husband, Charles, died in 1944.⁶ Bessie died in 1961² and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.²

     Pearl May Slade was born on December 14, 1895 in Johnson County, Iowa.^1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Henry Slade and Bessie E. Bishop.¹
     Pearl married William Alva Potter, son of Jacob William Potter and Ida Ellen Roup.³ Pearl died in 1982.¹ She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.¹

     Albert Clarence Slade was born on July 29, 1897 in Johnson County, Iowa.^2,3 He was born on July 29, 1897 in Iowa.^1,4 He was the son of Charles Henry Slade and Bessie E. Bishop.¹ Albert Clarence Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on August 24, 1918 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.⁴
     Albert married Ruth Leona Boarts, daughter of Joseph F. Boarts and Gertrud Pogg, circa 1924.⁵ Albert died in 1959.² He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.²

Bishop.¹ Elmer Doty Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Iowa.² Elmer died in September, 1975 in Marengo, Iowa County, Iowa, at age 76.³ He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.⁴

     Thora Fern Slade was born circa 1903 in Johnson County, Iowa.¹ She was the daughter of Albert Arthur Slade and Nellie Katherine Hall.¹

     George Henry Slade was born on November 9, 1905 in Johnson County, Iowa.^1,3 He was the son of Charles Henry Slade and Bessie E. Bishop.¹
     George married Edith Loretta Teague.⁴ George died on March 15, 1986 at age 80.^3,5 He was buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.⁵

     DeWaine Knox Slade was born on January 4, 1909 in Johnson County, Iowa.¹ He was the son of Charles Henry Slade and Bessie E. Bishop.¹
     DeWaine married Geneva Donna Oakes, daughter of Charles E. Oakes and Minerva R. [?].³ DeWaine died on October 1, 1991 at age 82.¹ He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.¹

     Ruth Leona Boarts was born in 1907 in Iowa.¹ She was born circa 1908 in Iowa.³ She was the daughter of Joseph F. Boarts and Gertrud Pogg.⁴
     Ruth married Albert Clarence Slade, son of Charles Henry Slade and Bessie E. Bishop, circa 1924.¹ Ruth died in 1949.¹ She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.¹

     Charles Joseph Slade was born on November 29, 1925 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.^2,1 He was the son of Albert Clarence Slade and Ruth Leona Boarts.² Charles entered service with the U.S. Navy on June 8, 1944 at Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Illinois. He departed for foreign service Aug 18, 1944 and returned, Apr 12, 1946. He was honorably discharged from the Navy on June 6, 1946.³ Charles died on October 7, 1982 at age 56.¹
