     Virgil Henry Slade was born on March 7, 1916 in Roberts, Jefferson County, Idaho.² He was the son of Claude P. Slade and Ada Gladys Pace.¹
     Virgil married Vera Irene Harris on June 29, 1941 in Boise, Ada County, Idaho,³, the daughter of Docie (Burns) & Walter N Harris.³
     Virgil married second Goldie Stone, daughter of George Stone.^2,4 Virgil died on June 7, 2002 at age 86.² He was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington.²

     Jack C. Slade was born on June 23, 1919 in Canyon County, Idaho.² He was the son of Claude P. Slade and Ada Gladys Pace.¹ Jack C. Slade enlisted to serve in World War II on April 1, 1941 in Caldwell County, Idaho.³
     Jack married Norma Shaw, daughter of Frank Preston Shaw and Sylvia Sophia Hansen, in September, 1946.⁴ Norma died March 3, 1996.⁵
     Jack married second Doris Cloud on December 29, 2001 in Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho.⁵ Jack C. Slade was living on April 1, 2003 in Greenleaf, Canyon County, Idaho.² Jack died on October 18, 2011 at age 92.^6,5 He was buried in Terrace Lawn, Boise, Ada County, Idaho.⁵ His obituary read as follows:

      Jack C. Slade of Vancouver, Washington passed away October 18, 2011 at the age of 92. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m, Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel in Boise, Idaho.Jack was born at Pleasant Ridge, 5 miles west of Caldwell, Idaho on June 23, 1919. He was the third son of Claude and Ada Pace Slade. He lived in Caldwell until April 1941, at which time he joined the army and served with the 183 Field Artillery during WWII. He served in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. In October 1945 he was honorably discharged. February 4, 1946 he met Norma Shaw on a blind date and they were married in September of that year. Norma had a son, Alan, from a previous marriage. Two more sons, Kenneth and James, were born of this union. During their marriage they lived in Boise, Cascade, McCall, Idaho and Vancouver, Washington. Jack spent most of his working life driving truck. He began his driving career hauling mail from Caldwell, Idaho to Jordan Valley, Oregon. Later he drove for Milliner Truck Lines, Asbury Transportation, and Arrow Transportation while living in Boise. Jack and family moved to McCall, Idaho where they owned and operated the Shell Service Station from 1960 to 1967. They moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1967 where Jack resumed his driving career with Western Propane of Portland, Oregon. A heart attack forced Jacks retirement on January 11, 1976. In 1978 Jack and Norma returned to their roots in Boise, Idaho. Jack built a work shop at their home in Boise where he spent many hours working with wood making toys and novelty items for his family. Jack and Norma were members of Good Sam and thoroughly enjoyed camping and traveling the Southwest during the winter. Norma was diagnosed with cancer, but they continued traveling as long as she was able. She passed away March 3, 1996. July 2001 Jack met Doris Cloud of Greenleaf, Idaho. He and Doris were married in Caldwell, Idaho December 29, 2001. They lived in Greenleaf during the summer, but to stay warm during the winter months they lived in Sun City, Arizona. They were married for 9 years.For the past 18 months, Jack lived at Clearwater Springs in Vancouver, Washington.Jack is survived by his brother, Ivan Slade, of Lacy, Washington; his 3 sons, Alan Shaw and wife Linda of Battleground, Washington; Kenneth and wife Teresa of Winlock, Washington; James and wife Josephine of Sydney, BC; 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Norma; parents, Claude and Ada; 3 brothers, Lynn, Virgil, and Richard (Dick).He will be laid to rest next to his beloved Norma at Terrace Lawn in Boise, Idaho.      Sharon Sue Slade was born on August 27, 1935 in Seattle, King County, Washington.¹ She was the daughter of Douglas Hubert Slade and Charlotte Louise Lester.¹
     Sharon married first James Thorsvig Spence circa 1953.²
     Sharon married Gordon Ray Arwine on June 1, 1960.² Sharon died on February 6, 2006 at age 70.²

     Martha Bamforth was born in July, 1855 in England.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Bamforth and Sarah Jackson.² Martha immigrated from England in 1866.¹
     Martha married Thomas J. Slade, son of George Washington Slade and Margaret Ann Jordan, circa 1885.¹

     Clarence Bertrand Slade was born in August, 1892 in Rhode Island.¹ He was the son of Thomas J. Slade and Martha Bamforth.¹
     Clarence married Mary Belle Ingraham on March 2, 1920 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.² Mary was the daughter of Mary Royal and William Ingraham of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.²
     Clarence Bertrand Slade registered for the draft for World War II in 1942, while living at Mount Vernon, Weschester County, New York, Mrs. Lillian P Slade will always know his address.³ He resided in Mount Vernon, New York, in 1942; 514 Gramatan Avenue.³

     Annie Eliza Walsh was born on October 31, 1847 in Ontario, Canada.^1,3 She was the daughter of Thomas Walsh and Mary O'Connor.⁴
     Annie married Daniel Slade Sr., son of Thomas Slade and Frances Potter.¹ Annie died on November 16, 1927 in Welland County, Ontario, Canada, at age 80.⁴ She was buried in Fonthill, Ontario, Canada.⁴

[Note: The death record gives her birth as Oct 31, 1844 in Ireland although census records show she was born 1847 in Ontario. It also gives her father's name as Thomas Walsh and mother as Mary O'Connor, both from Ireland.].⁴

     William Thomas Slade was born on February 1, 1868 in Ontario, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of Daniel Slade Sr. and Annie Eliza Walsh.¹
     William married Alice Deborah Gordon, daughter of Alfred M. Gordon and Amanda [?], on March 7, 1888 in Welland County, Ontario, Canada.³

     Rosella Charlotte Slade went by Lottie.⁴ She was born on October 24, 1870 in Oakville, Halton District, Ontario, Canada.^1,5 She was the daughter of Daniel Slade Sr. and Annie Eliza Walsh.¹
     Rosella married Charles Falkenhagen, son of Charles Falkenhagen Sr. and Euretta [?], on September 28, 1893 in Welland, Welland County, Ontario, Canada.² Rosella died on September 24, 1938 in Welland County, Ontario, Canada, at age 67.³ She was buried in Fonthill, Ontario, Canada.³

     Sophia Ann Humphrey was born in 1803 in Portsea, Hampshire, England.^1,3 She was christened on November 18, 1803 in Saint Mary's Church, Portsea, Hampshire, England.³
     Sophia married Thomas Slade, son of Thomas Slade and Elizabeth Bowyer, on November 17, 1827 in Portsea, Hampshire.¹ Sophia died in 1874 in Portsea, Hampshire.⁴

     Frances Potter was born circa 1814 in England.¹
     Frances married Thomas Slade in 1828.¹ Frances died on January 25, 1886 in Peel County, Ontario, Canada.²

     Martha Slade was born circa 1852 in Canada.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Slade and Frances Potter.¹
     Martha married Joseph Edward Speck on December 23, 1869 in Peel County, Ontario, Canada.² Joseph was the son of Charles and Martha Stevenson Speck.²

     Thomas Robert Slade was born on July 22, 1852 in Canada.^1,3 He was the son of Thomas Slade and Frances Potter.¹ Thomas died on January 6, 1877 at age 24.⁴ He was buried in Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga, Peel County, Ontario, Canada.      Daniel Slade Jr. was born on May 24, 1878 in Humberstone Twp, Ontario, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of Daniel Slade Sr. and Annie Eliza Walsh.¹
     Daniel married first Annie S. Burton, daughter of Thomas Burton, on October 12, 1899 in St. Catherines, Lincoln County, Ontario, Canada.³
     Daniel married Margaret E. Mann, daughter of Samuel Mann and Elizabeth Dodds, on April 28, 1913 in St. Catherines, Ontario.⁴ Daniel died on December 26, 1921 at age 43.⁵ He was buried in Fonthill Cemetery, Fonthill, Ontario, Canada.⁵
