     Russell Andrew Slade was born on January 14, 1891 in Zilwaukee, Saginaw County, Michigan.^2,1,3 He was the son of Andrew Slade and Georgina Stacy.¹
     Russell married Ruth M. Truckner, daughter of Eli Truckner, on July 27, 1912 in Spaulding, Saginaw County, Michigan.⁴ Russell Andrew Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I in 1918 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.² Russell died on November 26, 1986 at age 95⁵ and was buried in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.⁵

     William L. Slade was born on April 13, 1892 in Zilwaukee, Saginaw County, Michigan.^2,1,3 He was the son of Andrew Slade and Georgina Stacy.² William died on October 28, 1918 at age 26 of bronchial pneumonia. He was single and a soldier.¹ He was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw County, Michigan.¹

     Elizabeth married Thomas Slade on November 18, 1800 in Portsea, Hampshire.² Elizabeth died in 1874 in Portsea, Hampshire.³

     Laura Miller was born on September 26, 1865 in Mercer County, Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Alexander Miller and Hannah Jane Gracy.¹
     Laura married Cornelius Thomas Slade, son of Charles Slade and Elizabeth Lyddon, on March 18, 1887 in Illinois.¹ Laura died on September 9, 1917 at age 51.¹ She was buried in Mount Vernon Cemetery, North Henderson, Mercer County, Illinois.¹

     Martha "Mickey" Redmon was born on July 31, 1924 in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois.² She was the daughter of Roscoe W. Redmon and Elva [?]², the daughter of Elva Rowe & Roscoe W Redmon.³
     Martha married James Thomas Slade, son of Joseph Lawrence Slade and Marie Stephens, on April 23, 1944 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.¹ Martha died on August 29, 1997 at age 73¹ and was buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, Macon County, Illinois.^2,3 Her obituary read as follows:

      Martha ''Mickey Redmon'' Slade, 73, of Decatur died 3:45 a.m. Friday (Aug. 29, 1997) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation 12:30 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Easter Seals or Millikin University (Office of Economic Development c/o Dave Brandon).

Mrs. Slade was born in Decatur on July 31, 1924, the daughter of Roscoe W. and Elva Redmon. She was a 1942 graduate of Decatur High School. She attended Millikin University and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Martha was a lifetime member of St. John's Episcopal Church, past president of Easter Seals, a volunteer at the Macon County Health Department for 12 years, a Cub Scout den mother, a member of the Decatur Police Benevolent Women's Auxiliary and an advertising sales volunteer for the Millikin Symphony Guild for many years. She married

James T. Slade on April 23, 1944, in Newport, R.I. They recently celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Surviving are her husband; son, James T. III and wife Eileen; granddaughters, Leslie and Nancy; great-granddaughter, Jourdan Pearce; many loving relatives, neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Rowe Redmon.

     Joseph married second Linda Sue Rice on June 21, 1975.⁴ Joseph died on March 10, 1976 in Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas, at age 55.² He was buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri.^5,2

     William Euell Slade was born on September 21, 1927 in Florida.¹ He enlisted to serve in World War II on December 19, 1945 in Fort McClellan, Anniston, Calhoun County, Alabama.²

     William married second Catherine Conway.³ William died on September 15, 2015 in Pell City, St. Clair County, Alabama, at age 87.¹ He was buried in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, Trussville, Jefferson County, Alabama.¹ His obituary read as follows:

      Sept. 21, 1927-Sept. 15, 2015 William Euell Slade died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the age of 87. Mr. Slade was a resident of Cook Springs Nursing Home in Pell City, AL. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Reynolds; his brother, Gene Wambecke; his first wife, Louise Slade, and his second wife Catherine Conway Slade. Mr. Slade is survived by Louise's five children: Henry F. Twilley (Judy), Selma, AL; Peggy Tillman, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; June Franklin, Trussville, AL; Betty Shepherd, Deerfield Beach, FL; Diane Usher (John), Hoover, AL; and Catherine's three children, Charles McDill (Nancy), Montgomery, AL; Patti Tunnell, Trussville, AL; and Norma J. Tucker, Centerpoint, AL; 16 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a nephew, and a niece. Mr. Slade was a WWII Army veteran and he retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of Liberty Park Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held Thursday for the immediate family at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East "Last Supper" mausoleum, with Dr. James Sampley officiating. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville is directing.

     William Bruce Slade was born on July 24, 1922 in Winter Garden, Orange County, Florida.² He was the son of Admiral D Slade and Valerie Inez Malcolm.²
     William married Verma Lillian Boggs.³ William died on August 1, 1997 in Santa Clara County, California, at age 75.⁴

     Sam Barrett Slade was born on September 19, 1920 in Roberta, Crawford County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Ben Turner Slade and Nell Louisa Barrett.
     Sam married Patricia Lenore Thomas.¹ He enlisted in the Georgia National Guard in 1941 and served in the Southwest Pacific during World War II in 1942. He re-enlisted in 1962, and spent a total of 39 years in the Army Reserve and Alabama National Guard . In his civilian work he was in the retail building materials and construction business until his retirement.
      Sam died on October 23, 2006 in Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama, at age 86.² He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama.³

     Sam served as Mayor of Eufaula from 1988 to 1992, and was hailed as a progressive leader who brought the town into the 21st century. He was an active civic volunteer and leader before and after his mayoral term. Besides his distinguished military career that spanned nearly four decades, he also served as:

     Edward married Nellie Van Horn Hopler, daughter of Charles Hopler and Sarah L. Van Horn, circa 1893.⁴ Edward William Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Baltimore City, Maryland, Edward was Agent for Security Life Insurance Company of Baltimore.¹ Edward died on February 15, 1937 at age 56.³ He was buried in Moreland Memorial Park, Parkville, Baltimore County, Maryland.³

     Nellie Van Horn Hopler was born on August 24, 1874 in Morris County, New Jersey.² She was the daughter of Charles Hopler and Sarah L. Van Horn.¹ Nellie Van Horn Hopler was New Tag circa 1877 in New Jersey.³
     Nellie married Edward William Slade, son of William Slade and Helen Kopp, circa 1893.³ Nellie died on November 23, 1953 at age 79.² She was buried in Moreland Memorial Park, Parkville, Baltimore County, Maryland.²

     Marshall E. Slade was born on July 21, 1907 in Baltimore City, Maryland.^1,2 He was the son of Edward William Slade and Nellie Van Horn Hopler.¹
