      Kitsap Sun, Bemerton, WA - Leland Howard Slade, 80, by Howard L. and Grace M. Slade. Devoted Father, Brother, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather who loved his horses (Blondie), sports, animals, his truck, beer and KFC. Dad was a maintenance professional at Peoples, Elks and numerous apartment buildings. Dad had a great sense of humor. I will miss our many drives around Point Defiance. He is survived by his first wife, Shirley Slade; and daughter, Bonnie; second wife (mom), Lynne Selvidge (Red); two sisters, Shirley Erwin (Sam) and Patricia Green; 7 children, Terry, Ron, Chris, Dan, Barbara, Tracy and Cindy; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Aunt Shirley (dad's sister) who went out of her way day and night to show unconditional love and support not only to dad but to the entire family, her love and support was extraordinary and to Grace Pew for her continued love and support as well.
