     Marian Frances Slade was born in 1910 in Kansas.¹ She was the daughter of Marion Wallace Slade and Maggie Maude Thompson.¹² Marian died on February 8, 1952 in Harveyville, Wabaunsee County, Kansas,³ and was buried in Harveyville Cemetery, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.^3,4 The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday February 10, 1952 Miss Marian Frances SLADE, 41, of Harveyville, died Friday at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Winnie ROTH, in Harveyville. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion W. SLADE. Miss Slade was a member of the Harveyville Methodist Church. She is survived by three brothers, Wallace Slade, Des Moines, Iowa, Ben Slade, Pasadena, Calif., and Robert Slade, Burlingame; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel HOLMES, Overbrook. Burial will be in Harveyville.³

     Marion married Maggie Maude Thompson circa 1907.¹ Marion Wallace Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Lyndon, Osage County, Kansas.⁶¹ Marion died on January 20, 1949 at age 70. He was buried in Harveyville Cemetery, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.⁷

     Mary Helen Slade was born on July 17, 1876 in Hancock County, Illinois.^2,3 She was the daughter of William W. Slade and Anna Siegrist.¹
     Mary married Louis Clifford Elgin on March 14, 1895.² The 1910 census indicates that Mary Helen is mother of 8 children and 6 are living.⁴ Mary died on March 1, 1923 at age 46.⁵ She was buried in Harveyville Cemetery, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.⁵

     Robert William Slade was born on July 14, 1912 in Osage County, Kansas.¹ He was the son of Marion Wallace Slade and Maggie Maude Thompson.²
     Robert married Gladys A. [?]³ Robert William Slade was living on February 10, 1952 in Burlingame, Osage County, Kansas; mentioned in sister Marian Slade's obit.⁴ Robert died on January 4, 1991 at age 78¹ and was buried in Harveyville Cemetery, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.³

     William W. Slade was born on May 14, 1916 in Kansas.¹ He was the son of Marion Wallace Slade and Maggie Maude Thompson.¹² William died on July 8, 2011 in Riverside County, California, at age 95.³

     William W. Slade was New Tag 1910 shows both parents born New York in 1838 in Missouri.² He was born on February 18, 1838 in Caldwell County, Missouri.^3,4 He was the son of Clark Marion Slade and Emily M. Coburn. William W. Slade was New Tag 1920 shows both parents born Vermont in 1839 in Missouri.¹ He [The 1880 census indicates his father was born in Vermont and his mother was born in New York. The 1900 census shows his father was born in Vermont and his mother in Pennsylvania. The 1910 census indicates both parents were born New York and the 1920 shows both parents were born in Vermont]. William enlisted as a Private in Co. L of the 4th Iowa Cavalry on Sept 1, 1861 and was mustered into federal service on Sept 24. He was promoted 5 times, finally to 2nd Sgt on Sept 16, 1865. He was mustered out Feb 15, 1866.⁵
     William married first Hattie B. Thomas on March 23, 1868 in Hancock County, Illinois.⁶
     William married second Anna Siegrist on October 13, 1875 in Illinois.⁷ The 1880 censu shows Rosa Kaser, 13, as William's adopted daughter. It has not yet been determined if this is a child of Anna by previous marriage or not.⁸ William died on August 6, 1933 at age 95⁹ and was buried in Harveyville Cemetery, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.⁹

     Winifred Clarisa Slade was born on February 17, 1888 in Illinois.^2,3 She was the daughter of William W. Slade and Anna Siegrist.¹ Winifred died on September 18, 1968 in Wabaunsee County, Kansas, at age 80.³

     Maggie Maude Thompson went by Maude. She was born in 1884 in Canada both her parents were born in England.^3,4 She was New Tag both parents born Michigan in 1885 in Canada.¹

     Maggie married second Marion Wallace Slade, son of William W. Slade and Anna Siegrist, circa 1907.¹ Maggie Maude Thompson was known as Maggie Maude.⁶ Maggie died on April 8, 1946⁴ and was buried in Harveyville Cemetery, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.⁴ Last name Thompson from Brad Slade.⁶

     Lucy married Lucius Slade, son of Samuel Slade Jr. and Eunice Angier, on March 26, 1840 in Alstead, New Hampshire.¹ Lucy died on April 15, 1895 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 77.¹
