     Lyman Oscar Slade was born on May 24, 1821 in Bainbridge, Chenango County, New York.2 He was the son of Martin H. Slade and Jane Newton.2 Lyman Oscar Slade was New Tag both of his parents were also born in New York circa 1827 in New York.3
     Lyman married Roxy Permelia Kibbe.4 Lyman moved to Genesee in 1856 and had charge of Mr. Langworthy's sawmill for several years. In 1864, he enlisted in the 85th NY and served until he was discharged in 1865.5 Lyman Oscar Slade began military service on September 2, 1864 in Genesee, Allegany County, New York, as a Private, Co D, 85th New York Volunteers, discharged June 27, 1865.1,2 He enlisted on September 2, 1864 in Allegany County, New York, as a Private, Co D, 85th New York Volunteers, discharged June 27, 1865.6 Lyman died on January 12, 1909 in New York at age 87.7 He was buried in Wells Cemetery, Little Genesee, Allegany County, New York.8

     Harriet A. Slade went by Hattie. She was born on April 6, 1875 in Pennsylvania.2,1 She was the daughter of Jasper N. Slade and Ida A. Nichols.1
     Harriet married Forrest A. Allen.2 Harriet died on June 26, 1952 at age 77.2 She was buried in Wells Cemetery, Little Genesee, Allegany County, New York.2
