     Barbara B. Binford was born circa 1925 in Ohio.² She was the daughter of Hiram E. Binford and Lois J. [?]² Barbara grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, where she attended Indiana University. She was a Kappa Alpha Theta at I.U. and graduated in 1946. She spent the next several years teaching high school English and drama in Martinsville, Indiana, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then at Reitz High School in Evansville where met Evansville native Bob Slade at the Elks Club.¹
     Barbara married Robert Bryan Slade, son of Bryan Randolph Slade and Mary Eleanor Baugh, in 1951.^1,3 Barbara died on December 21, 2007.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

           Barbara B. Slade, of Newburgh, died Friday, December 21, 2007, at River Pointe Health Campus. She was 82. The daughter of well-known educator H.E. Binford and his wife, Lois, Barbara grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, where she attended Indiana University. She was a Kappa Alpha Theta at I.U. and graduated in 1946.
     Barbara spent the next several years teaching high school English and drama in Martinsville, Indiana, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then at Reitz High School in Evansville. She met Evansville native Robert B. "Bob" Slade in 1950 at The Elks Club. They married in 1951 and moved to Newburgh in 1952. Bob died in 1991. Barbara was an icon in little league parks, basketball stands and football fields in Southern Indiana and beyond. She watched her sons and grandsons and granddaughters play and cheer for almost 50 years. She was also an avid - and excellent - bridge player who could be encouraged to drop almost anything (except a ball game!) to sit at a bridge table for several hours.
     She is survived and beloved by her children and grandchildren: Bryan B. Slade, his wife Candy, their children Kelsey and Connor; Marty Slade Perlman and her husband Budd; and Thomas E. Slade, his wife Lisa Gourieux Slade, and their children Hunter, Emily and Bryan. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 24, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Todd Bussey, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at Alexander East Chapel.¹ She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.¹

     Hiram E. Binford was born on November 1, 1889 in Rush County, Indiana.^1,2
     Hiram married Lois J. [?]¹ Hiram died in February, 1978 in Newburgh, Warrick County, Indiana, at age 88 [last address of record].³

     Ozro D. Slade was born on March 7, 1823 in New York.^3,4 He was New Tag circa 1825 in New York.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Slade and Roxana Rogers.³
     Ozro married Hellen Redfield.⁵ In 1870, Ozso was listed as a bus driver, value of personal property $700.¹ Ozro died on January 29, 1878⁶ and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Sterling, Whiteside County, Illinois.⁶

     Benjamin F. Slade was born in January, 1859 in New York.¹ He was the son of Ozro D. Slade and Hellen Redfield.¹
     Benjamin married Grace G. Barnett, daughter of Friend H. Barnett and Eliza E. [?], on December 20, 1893 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.²

     Annie Slade was born circa 1859 in New York.¹ She was the daughter of Ozro D. Slade and Hellen Redfield.¹
     Annie married Louis Mische circa 1886.²

     Edwin A. Slade was born circa 1866 in Illinois.¹ He was the son of Ozro D. Slade and Hellen Redfield.¹
     Edwin married Jennie Scoffield on August 5, 1897 in Oakland County, Michigan.^2,3

     Roxana Rogers was born circa 1800 in Massachusetts.¹
     Roxana married Benjamin Slade, son of Aaron Slade Jr. and Mary Knight.¹ Roxana died on April 22, 1862.² She was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Mount Upton, Chenango County, New York.²

     Edwin Slade was born circa 1831 in New York.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Slade and Roxana Rogers.¹

     Angeline A. Slade was born on August 10, 1839 in Caldwell County, Missouri.^1,2 She was the daughter of Benjamin Slade and Roxana Rogers.¹
     Angeline married George William Cleveland.³ Angeline died on February 6, 1891 at age 51.² She was buried in Centerville Cemetery, Davis County, Utah.²

     Grace G. Barnett was born in September, 1872 in Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Friend H. Barnett and Eliza E. [?]^2,3
     Grace married Benjamin F. Slade, son of Ozro D. Slade and Hellen Redfield, on December 20, 1893 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.⁴

     Russell F. Slade was born in November, 1894 in Indiana.¹ He was the son of Benjamin F. Slade and Grace G. Barnett.¹ Russell died in 1946² and was buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Denver County, Colorado.²

     Ralph Gordon Slade was born circa 1903 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.¹ He was the son of Benjamin F. Slade and Grace G. Barnett.¹ Ralph died on August 5, 1917 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.² He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.³
