     Michael married Janis R. [?]¹ Michael A. Slade was born in 1937 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan.¹ He was the son of Frederick Michael Slade and Margaret Esther Pfrommer.¹ Michael died on April 14, 2004 in Stafford County, Virginia.¹ He was buried in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Virginia.¹ His obituary read as follows:

      Michael Alfred Slade, 67, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at his home in Stafford County.Michael was born in Ann Arbor, Mich. He served his country for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, which included two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired as a gunnery sergeant in 1974. He was an Allstate Insurance agent for 20 years. Michael was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Triangle for 26 years. He was also a member of the Father Edwin F. Kelley Council 5750 and the Knights of Columbus in Woodbridge for 36 years. He was a 38-year resident of Prince William County, living in Montclair from 1978 to 2002, before moving to Stafford.Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick M. and M. Esther Slade, Michael is survived by his wife, Janis R. Slade; one son, Michael C. Slade and his wife, Cheryl, of Odessa, Fla; two daughters, Susan M. Goodrich and her husband, Dale, of Stafford, and Julie A. Wagoner and her husband, John, of Haymarket. He is also survived by a brother, Edward H. Slade of Novi, Mich; and seven grandchildren, Michael, Christine and Olivia Slade, Logan and Jillian Goodrich, and Alexa and Megan Wagoner.A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 18825 Fuller Heights Road, Triangle. Interment, with honors, will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, is handling the arrangements.¹

     Alvah Gordon Slade was born in September, 1862 in New York.³ He was the son of Ozro D. Slade and Hellen Redfield.⁴ Alva is a mail carrier.⁴
     Alvah married Alma Rae Bryan circa 1890.⁵ Both of his parents were born in New York.¹ Alvah died on May 8, 1944 at age 81⁶ and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.⁶

     Bryan Randolph Slade was born in October, 1891 in Indiana.³ He was the son of Alvah Gordon Slade and Alma Rae Bryan.¹
     Bryan married Mary Eleanor Baugh, daughter of Frank Clyde Baugh and Anna Belle Walsh, on October 21, 1914 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.² Bryan Randolph Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on June 5, 1917 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.⁴ Bryan died in September, 1972 at age 80⁵ and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.⁶

     Alvah Gordon Slade Jr. was born in January, 1895 in Indiana.³ He was the son of Alvah Gordon Slade and Alma Rae Bryan.¹
     Alvah married Hazel Shrode, daughter of James C. Shrode and Emma [?], on June 11, 1919 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.⁴
     Alvah Gordon Slade Jr. registered for the draft for World War II in 1942, while living at Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, living at 230 Reber Avenue.⁵ He worked for John Deere Tractor Company.⁵

     Donald Stanton Slade was born on May 20, 1898 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.^3,2 He was the son of Alvah Gordon Slade and Alma Rae Bryan.¹
     Donald married Mildred Fairchild circa 1921.⁴ Donald died on December 16, 1971 in Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, at age 73.² He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.²

     Hazel Shrode was born circa 1898 in Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of James C. Shrode and Emma [?].¹
     Hazel married Alvah Gordon Slade Jr., son of Alvah Gordon Slade and Alma Rae Bryan, on June 11, 1919 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.²

     Mary Eleanor Baugh went by Eleanor.² She was born circa 1892 in Indiana.² She was the daughter of Frank Clyde Baugh and Anna Belle Walsh.^3,1
     Mary married Bryan Randolph Slade, son of Alvah Gordon Slade and Alma Rae Bryan, on October 21, 1914 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.¹ Mary died on May 18, 1984⁴ and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.⁴

     John Thomas Slade was born on August 16, 1915 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.^1,3 He was the son of Bryan Randolph Slade and Mary Eleanor Baugh.¹
     John married Dorothy Ann Burchfield, daughter of Ralph Burchfield, on May 12, 1943 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.² John died on October 6, 1979 at age 64³ and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.³

     Robert Bryan Slade was born on December 3, 1923 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.^1,3 He was the son of Bryan Randolph Slade and Mary Eleanor Baugh.^1,4
     Robert married Barbara B. Binford, daughter of Hiram E. Binford and Lois J. [?], in 1951.^5,4 Robert died on May 3, 1991 at age 67.^4,3 He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.²
