Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, where a parish vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Coralville.Survivors include his wife, Rita; two children, Sarah Slade and Brian Slade, both of Coralville; his mother, Donna Slade of Coralville; and a brother, Phil Slade of Iowa City.Also surviving are 12 nieces and nephews.His father and a brother, Kenny Don Slade, preceded him in death.Memorials may be directed to The Stephen D. Slade Memorial Fund.Steve was born July 5, 1953, in Iowa City, the son of Kenneth and Donna Bryant Slade. He graduated from University High School in 1972 and attended Kirkwood Community College.
