Hutton Davidson Slade1

(6 August 1912 - 25 January 1993)
     Hutton Davidson Slade was born on August 6, 1912 in Willesden, Middlesex, England.2,3 He was the son of Francis Slade and Florence Ethel Davison.4 Hutton Davidson Slade witnessed the passenger list of Francis Slade on June 25, 1913 in Port of New York, New York; SS Oceanic sailing from Southampton.5 Hutton was listed as a college teacher in 1940, residing in household of Lester O. Krampitz, also a college teacher.1
     Hutton married Eileen Pryor circa 1941.6,7 Hutton D. Slade, of Wilmette, Illinois, an authority of respiratory infections and the chief microbiologist at the Chicago Rheumatic Fever Research Institute was named associate professor of microbiology at Northwestern University Medical School in 1958. Dr. Slade was promoted to the rank of full professor in 1960.8,9 Hutton died on January 25, 1993 at age 80.3 He was buried in Community Church of the Rockies Columbarium, Estes Park, Larimer County, Colorado.5

Eileen Pryor1

     Eileen Pryor was born on September 26, 1914 in Murrysville, Pennsylvania.1
     Eileen married Hutton Davidson Slade, son of Francis Slade and Florence Ethel Davison, circa 1941.1,2 Eileen died on June 14, 2012 in Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado, at age 97.1 Her obituary read as follows:

      Eileen Pryor Slade, 97, a long time resident of Estes Park, Colorado died June 14, 2012 at Collinwood Assisted Living Facility in Fort Collins.

Eileen will be missed by her two sons, Richard Gary, of Frisco, TX, Robert Bryan of Ft. Collins, CO., and her daughters-in-laws, Betsy Slade of Frisco, TX and Carol Slade of Fort Collins, CO. She is also loving grandmother to: Duffy Slade, of Frisco, TX, Lindsay Sellery, of Greenville, SC, Sara Slade, of Denver, CO , and Spencer Slade, of Denver, CO and great-grandmother to Slade and Elizabeth Sellery, of Greenville, SC, and Ryann Slade, of Frisco, TX.

Mrs. Slade was born on September 26, 1914 in Murrysville, PA. She later moved, with her family, to Baltimore, MD, where she spent most of her childhood years. She spoke of her youth in the Chesapeake Bay area with great enthusiasm, where she enjoyed swimming, boating, and being with her extended family.

She married Dr. Hutton Davison Slade (deceased l993) in l941. Together they shared a love of travel, entertaining friends, and raising their two sons.

The Slades lived and raised their boys in Wilmette, IL. where Hutton was on the faculty at Northwestern University Medical School. Eileen kept busy entertaining the professional colleagues of Hutton from all over the world. They retired to Estes Park in 1979, where they happily took to the mountains enjoyed, hiking, picnicking, and entertaining family and friends in their mountain home. Eileen and Hutton were active members of the Community Church of the Rockies. She was an avid gardener, and always enjoyed being outdoors.

Contributions, in her memory, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. www.alzfdn.org A service to honor, and celebrate Eileen Slade’s life will be held in Estes Park in the fall.1

Hildegard Moller1

     Hildegard Moller was born on November 26, 1928 in Germany.1 She was the daughter of Anna and Joseph Moller.1
     Hildegard married Kenneth F. Slade, son of Timothy Irving Slade and Mary A. Boon, on November 26, 1958 in Utica, Oneida County, New York.1 Hildegard died on October 9, 2015 at age 86.1 She was buried in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Utica, Oneida County, New York.1 Her obituary read as follows:

      UTICA - Hildegard Slade, 86, of Utica, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Heritage Health Care Center.

She was born on November 26, 1928, in Germany, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Moller. In January, 1958, Hildegard married Kenneth F. Slade in Utica. She was employed as a Florist at Utica Floral.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth; her daughter and son-in-law, Cathleen and Ronald Pacini, Cicero; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Deborah Slade, Florida; two grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Pacini and Missy Pacini; great-grandchild, Eli Pacini; sister, Elizabeth Koch, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Renhold and Betty Moller, Germany; along with several nieces and nephews. Hildegard was predeceased by her sister, Ana Sease.

In keeping with Hildegard's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. The family will receive guests at the conclusion of Mass. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.
