She married Vern Slade in New York in 1945. Lillian was a Branch Manager of Drayton Plains office of First Federal Savings. Surviving are son, David and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Haley, Jason (Stacy); great-grandchildren, Olivia, Carter, Maxwell and Leland; sister, Regina (Jean). She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern in 1998, one sister and two brothers. Lillian was laid to rest next to her husband, Vern, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
