Slade, aged 30, accompanied by a boy aged 3 and a girl aged 2 (likely George Wm & Selina), embarked from Liverpool on the S.S. Nova Scotian arriving Quebec City on July 21, 1867.6 Selina died on July 27, 1920 at age 85.3 She was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.3

     Harold married Marian E. Hock.1 She was the daughter of Mary and Louis Hock.5 Harold gained a stepson, Ronald.1 Harold died on April 26, 1998 at age 85.3 He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, Niagara County, New York.1 His obituary read as follows:

      Harold E. Slade, 85, of East Lake Road died Sunday (April 26, 1998) in Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Center after a brief illness.

Slade worked as a machinist at the former Bell Aircraft Co. in Wheatfield, retiring in 1970.

Survivors include his wife, the former Marian Hock; a son, Walter; a stepson, Ronald of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Elaine Rokosky and Linda Fritzke, both of North Tonawanda; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Ransomville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1836 Langdon Road. Burial services will be private. held in Greenwood Cemetery.
