     Stanley married Nellie E. Monroe, daughter of John William Monroe and Laura Ann Amos, on April 10, 1918 in Chelan County, Washington.⁴ He was the Postmaster. Stanley Jennings Slade was registered for World War 2 draft in 1942 while living in Bridgeport, Douglas County, Washington.² Stanley died in December, 1975.⁵ He was buried in Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, Douglas County, Washington.⁵

     Lavern married Lillian Rose DeMarco, daughter of Frank DeMarco and Regina [?], in 1945 in New York.⁶ Lavern died on May 22, 1998 in Seminole, Pinellas County, Florida, at age 86.¹ He was buried in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Oakland County, Michigan.^1,7 His obituary read as follows:

      SLADE, LAVERN E., 86, of Seminole, died Friday (May 22, 1998) at Largo Medical Center. He was born in Cutler, Ill., and came here in 1972 from Pontiac, Mich. He worked as an inspector for General Motors' refinishing department. He was a Baptist and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was a member of United Auto Workers and Retirees of General Motors. Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a son, David N., Waterford, Mich; a brother, Leonard, and a sister, Irene Jenks, both of Michigan; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter. Lewis W. Mohn Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Seminole.¹

     Leonard Slade was born on January 24, 1914 in Perry County, Illinois.^1,2 He was the son of Arthur Wilton Slade and Pearl Taylor.¹
     Leonard married Hazel E. Monroe.² Leonard was widowed when his wife, Hazel, died in 1995.² Leonard died on September 6, 2005 at age 91² and was buried in Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston, Oakland County, Michigan.²
