     Pittman Malcolm Stevens was born in December, 1845 in Indiana and both his parents were born in Indiana, according to 1880 census.2 However, the 1900 census indicates he was born in Ohio and his father was born in Pennsylvania and his mother in Ohio.3
     Pittman married Florence Amanda Slade, daughter of James Adkins Slade and Ellen K. Smith, on September 11, 1876.2 Pittman died on March 26, 1917 in Polk County, Arkansas, at age 71.4

     Martha Elizabeth Adkins was born on October 7, 1854 in Mississippi.3,4 She was the daughter of William A. Adkins and Amanda C. Epps.5 Martha's mother, Amanda, died and her father, William, took Martha and her sister, Lucy, to Missouri where he remarried. William and his second wife Mary raised the girls. William and Mary had several children of their own in Reynolds County, Missouri.6

     Martha Elizabeth Adkins married John Wesley Slade, son of James Adkins Slade and Ellen K. Smith, on January 10, 1875 in Lesterville, Reynolds County, Missouri.3,7 The 1900 census indicates that she was mother of 9 children, of which 6 are living. Martha died on October 6, 1937 at age 82.2 She was buried in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, Wayne County, Missouri.4

     William Addison Slade was born on February 25, 1880 in Reynolds County, Missouri.2,3 He was the son of John Wesley Slade and Martha Elizabeth Adkins.1
     William married Emma Keathley in 1908 in Missouri.4 William Addison Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in East St. Louis, Illinois, living at 1541 St. Clair Street.3 Research has thus far been unable to locate William Slade in the 1920 census, however his son, Ernest was found listed as a nephew living with William's brother James E. Slade in Piedmont, Wayne County. William's wife Emma is living in St. Louis with her brother and is listed as single. Apparently, Emma and William are separated, or divorced.5 William apparently married again before his death. Dolly Bacon was listed as his wife on his death certificate. Martha Adkins was listed as his mother and John Slade born in Lesterville as his father.6 William died on April 23, 1929 in Saint Francois County, Missouri, at age 49 near Farmington.2 He was buried in Rowland Woods Cemetery, Patterson, Wayne County, Missouri.2,7

     Otho married second Ida Lee Speer, daughter of William Speer and Rebecca Crownover, on May 22, 1938 in Wayne County, Missouri.3 Otho died on December 15, 1974 at age 92.4 He was buried in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, Wayne County, Missouri.5
