     Raymond Edmon Slade was born on August 3, 1898 in Hamilton County, Florida.^1,2 He was the son of Jerry E. Slade and Carrie Louise Brown.¹ Raymond Edmon Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Lake City, Columbia County, Florida.³ Raymond died on June 26, 1932 at age 33.⁴ He was buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Lake City, Columbia County, Florida.⁵

     Augusta Peacock was born circa 1853 in Montgomery County, North Carolina.² She was the daughter of Dr. John Calvin Peacock and Elizabeth Tisdale.¹

     Pearl married Oliver Twist Slade, son of John W. Slade and Katherine McCaleb, on June 3, 1914 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.¹ Pearl died on November 19, 1973 in Sesser, Franklin County, Illinois, at age 76.³

     Oliver Woodrow Slade was born on October 31, 1918 in Illinois.^1,2 He was the son of Oliver Twist Slade and Pearl Bryant Ramsey.¹ Oliver Woodrow Slade was known as Woodrow.
     Oliver married Carmen Georgina Malle, daughter of Joe Malle and Nellie Boudoux, circa 1940.³ Oliver Woodrow Slade was known as Woodie. Oliver died on April 1, 2000 in Ortonville, Oakland County, Michigan, at age 81.² He was buried in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Oakland County, Michigan.⁴

     William Franklin Slade was born on April 21, 1921 in Du Quoin, Perry County, Illinois.^1,2 He was the son of Oliver Twist Slade and Pearl Bryant Ramsey.¹
     William married Theresa Severins on October 9, 1941 in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.³ William died on April 19, 1997 in Oakland County, Michigan, at age 75.⁴ He was buried in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Oakland County, Michigan.⁵

     Carmen Georgina Malle was known as Connie.² She was born on November 15, 1922 in Kansas.³ She was the daughter of Joe Malle and Nellie Boudoux.³
     Carmen married Oliver Woodrow Slade, son of Oliver Twist Slade and Pearl Bryant Ramsey, circa 1940.¹ Carmen died on July 29, 2008 in Ortonville, Oakland County, Michigan, at age 85.⁴ Her obituary read as follows:

      SLADE, Carmen G. “Connie” of Ortonville formerly of Southern IL; went to be with the Lord July 29, 2008; Age 86. Preceded in death by her husband Oliver “Woody”; loving mother of Gloria Warden-Day, Pauline Tanner-Brown, Greg A. Slade and Pam Morris; dear grandma of Jeff (Kim) Warden, Damon (Pam) Warden, Patrice Sinclair, Craig (Wendy) Tanner, Chris (Diane) Tanner, Paula (Richard) Cervantes, Del (Rebecca) Tanner, Laura (Craig) Billing, Alan Slade, Julie Morris and R.J. (Michelle) Morris; sister of Louise Phelps, Jonell Graham and Joe Malle, Jr; sister-in-law of Kay Sammons; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service 11 am Tuesday, August 5th at Dixie Baptist Church 8585 Dixie Hwy, Clarkston. Friends may visit at the church Tuesday after 10 am until time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dixie Baptist Church. Arrangements entrusted to the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home.⁴ She was buried in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Oakland County, Michigan.⁵

     John W. Slade was born circa 1859 in Illinois.² He was the son of Matthew C. Slade and Elizabeth Reynolds.
     John married Katherine McCaleb in 1878.¹ John W. Slade apparently died circa 1893.³

     Elizabeth Reynolds was born circa 1836 in Illinois Her father was born in Tennessee, her mother was born in South Carolina.^2,3 Her mother was Mrs. Sara Sally Hannahs and her father was James Reynolds b 1799 NC, d 1855 IL.⁴
     Elizabeth married Matthew C. Slade, son of Bennajah Slade and Sarah [?], on April 21, 1853 in Washington County, Illinois.¹

     Joe Malle was born on October 21, 1894 in Yugoslavia both parents b Yugoslavia.^1,2
     Joe married Nellie Boudoux in 1920.¹ Joe died in October, 1971 in Valier, Franklin County, Illinois.²

     James Slade was born in March, 1816 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Robert Slade and Nancy Kendall. James Slade, at one time City Engineer of Boston, died in Roslindale Friday night, aged 66 years and five months. Mr. Slade was a civil engineer of high rank, and during his lifetime was connected with a number of important works. He succeeded Mr. E.S. Chesbrough as City Engineer in 1855, and held the office until 1862, when he was succeeded by Mr. N. Henry Crafts. He was employed as consulting engineer during the building of the water works in Washington, D.C., Hartford, Conn., Salem, Mass., St. John, N.B., and Baltimore, Md. Of late years he has lived at Biddeford, Me.¹ James died on August 25, 1882 in Roslindale, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 66.¹ He was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mattapan, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.¹

     Leon Harrison Slade was born on August 12, 1888 in Atlas Twp, Genesee County, Michigan.^2,3 He was the son of George Slade and Martha A. Stringer.² His father was born England and his mother was born Michigan.⁴ Leon Harrison Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on June 12, 1918 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, He was described as tall and slender build, brown eyes and brown hair. He was single, an Efficiency Engineer with Sterling Motor Company in Detroit.⁵
     Leon married Clara Nestrom circa 1919 in Michigan.⁴ Clara was the daughter of Nels and Matilda Olson Nestrom of Whitehall, Michigan. They were both born in Sweden.^6,7 Leon died on March 9, 1972 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas, at age 83.² He was buried in Oak Hurst Cemetery, Muskegon County, Michigan.² Leon's death certificate gives his mother's name as Martha A. Morrish.²

     Jerry E. Slade was born on February 7, 1873 in Florida both parents were born in Florida.^1,2
     Jerry married Carrie Louise Brown, daughter of William Harper Brown and Martha E. Wood, on February 14, 1897 in Hamilton County, Florida.³ Jerry E. Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Lake City, Columbia County, Florida.² Jerry died in 1936.⁴ He was buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Lake City, Columbia County, Florida.⁴

     Ellen K. Smith was born in December, 1826 in St. Clair County, Illinois.^1,2 She was the daughter of Dr. John and Martha Brown Smith. He was a prominent physician in Belleville, Illinois for more than 25 years.³
     Ellen married James Adkins Slade, son of John Wesley Slade, circa 1839.^1,4 Ellen died on March 11, 1910 in Mena, Polk County, Arkansas, at age 83.

     Mary Libby Slade was born in July, 1846 in Randolph County, Illinois.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Adkins Slade and Ellen K. Smith.¹

     Mariah Adeline Slade was born on June 4, 1848 in Reynolds County, Missouri.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Adkins Slade and Ellen K. Smith.¹ She was one of the first members of Lesterville Baptist Church.²
     Mariah married William Anderson Pogue on March 10, 1872.² Mariah died on April 6, 1882 in Lesterville, Reynolds County, Missouri, at age 33.²

     John Wesley Slade was born on April 11, 1852 in Reynolds County, Missouri.^3,4 He was the son of James Adkins Slade and Ellen K. Smith.¹

     John Wesley Slade married Martha Elizabeth Adkins, daughter of William A. Adkins and Amanda C. Epps, on January 10, 1875 in Lesterville, Reynolds County, Missouri.^3,4 John died on August 15, 1936 at age 84^5,6 and was buried in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, Wayne County, Missouri.^5,6

     Ellen Jane Slade was born in December, 1854 in Reynolds County, Missouri.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Adkins Slade and Ellen K. Smith.¹

     Florence married Pittman Malcolm Stevens on September 11, 1876.³ Florence died on June 11, 1907 in Polk County, Arkansas, at age 51.²
