     Orra Smith Slade Jr. was born on December 3, 1918 in Ray County, Missouri.^1,2 He was the son of Orra Smith Slade and Louise Sophia Rocklage.¹
     Orra married second Mary Weisz Chrisman.³ He was a Sgt in the US Army Air Corps during World War II.
     Orra married Lillie Mae Rowan on June 10, 1947.³ Orra died on September 26, 1997 in Henrietta, Ray County, Missouri, at age 78.² He was buried in Richmond Memory Gardens, Ray County, Missouri.⁴ His obituary read as follows:

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 29, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond; burial in Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, where military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 237 and the Richmond VFW Post 4398. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Henrietta Methodist Church.
     

Mr. Slade was born December 3, 1919, in the Sunshine Community in Ray County, MO, to Orra Smith Slade, Sr. and Sophia Louise (Rocklage) Slade. He married Lillie Mae Rowan of Dockery, MO, on June 10, 1947. She preceded him in death on June 18, 1986. He later married Mary Weisz Chrisman of Norborne, MO, on January 26, 1989, she survives of the home.
     

Mr. Slade was a lifelong farmer. He was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. He had served as a Director on the Sunshine Levy Distric t for over 40 years. He had served as a member of the Henrietta School Board. He was a lifetime Ray County, MO, resident. He was a Methodist.
     

Mr. Slade was a veteran of WW II having served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served in the Asiatic Theatre for over three years in India, China, and Burma.⁵
     

     Joshua Louis Rider was born in February, 1854 in Missouri.¹
     Joshua married Nannie Sophia Slade, daughter of John Smith Slade M. D. and Nancy Ellen Ferrell, circa 1880.¹ Joshua died on November 5, 1918 at age 64² and was buried in Cravens Cemetery, Camden, Ray County, Missouri.²

     Joseph Frederick Slade was born on March 20, 1916 in Flat River, Saint Francois County, Missouri.¹ He was the son of John H. Slade and Mamie E. Ruple.¹ Joseph died on June 18, 1916.¹ And was buried in Flat River, Missouri.¹

     Willard Slade was born on February 20, 1906 in Flat River, Saint Francois County, Missouri.^1,2 He was the son of John H. Slade and Mamie E. Ruple.¹
     Willard married Alice [?] circa 1924.³
     Willard married Rilma Dicus on April 19, 1946 in Randolph County, Arkansas.⁴ Willard died in March, 1983 in Missouri at age 77 [last residence].²

     Nancy Myers was born circa 1875 in Missouri.² She was the daughter of Joseph Myers.¹
     Nancy married second William Porter Slade, son of John Wesley Slade and Martha Elizabeth Fox, circa 1905.² Nancy Myers and William Porter Slade were divorced.³

     Henry Madison Slade was New Tag in June, 1871 in Tennessee.² He was born on June 26, 1873 in Dandridge, Jefferson County, Tennessee.¹ He was the son of John Wesley Slade and Elizabeth Woods.¹
     Henry married Margaret McLaughlin on December 29, 1891.^2,3 He was employed as a station engineer. Henry Madison Slade was employed by as a car inspector for the railroad.⁴ Henry died on April 23, 1912 in Saint Francois County, Missouri, at age 38.¹

     Elizabeth married John Wesley Slade, son of Jonah Slade, say 1864 in Tennessee.¹ Elizabeth Woods was known as Margery E. She was born in Tennessee.¹

     Daniel Davis was born in 1790 in North Carolina.¹
     Daniel married Elizabeth [?].¹

     James Henry Hankins was born on August 27, 1819 in Tennessee.³
     James married Rachael Wilson.² Wesley Slade, 14, was living with this family.⁴ James died on May 15, 1884 at age 64.³ He was buried in Red House Cemetery, Blaine, Grainger County, Tennessee.³

     Samuel Robert Slade was born on May 25, 1891 in Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales.^1,2 He was the son of Samuel Slade and Kate [?].³ Samuel immigrated from to New York City, New York, on November 11, 1920.¹ He was naturalized on August 10, 1940 in Los Angeles, California.¹
     Samuel Robert Slade registered for the draft for World War II in 1942, while living at Culver City, Los Angeles County, California, 4053 Duquesne Ave, Apt C.⁴ Samuel died on October 8, 1953 at age 62.⁵ He was buried in Angelus Rosedale Cemetery, Los Angeles County, California.⁵

     Bertha Rosella Gurley was born in 1887 in Illinois.¹
     Bertha married Otho Sanders Slade, son of John Wesley Slade and Martha Elizabeth Adkins, on November 14, 1906 in Illinois.³ Bertha died in 1951⁴ and was buried in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, Wayne County, Missouri.⁴
