     George married Ellen Logee Rogers on July 1, 1939 in Denver, Colorado,1, the daughter of Rose G Nagley & Benjamin H Rogers.5
     George Henry Slade registered for the draft for World War II in 1942, while living at Denver, Denver County, Colorado, wife, Ellen.2 George died on March 22, 1996 in Jefferson County, Colorado, at age 91.1 His obituary read as follows:

      George Henry Slade of Arvada, a truck driver, died Friday in Wheat Ridge. He was 91.

Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Ave. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

He was born April 14, 1904, in Cornwall, England. On July 1, 1939, he married Ellen Rogers Slade in Denver. She is deceased.

He was employed by Purity Dairy Co. as a truck driver for 26 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

He is survived by a son, John, Arvada; a daughter, Margaret Von Feldt, Aurora; a brother, Ernest, Oklahoma; a sister, Gladys Ferry, Bailey; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Slade registered for the draft for World War II in October 16, 1940, while living at Houston, Harris County, Texas, Virginia Jimerson Slade listed next of kin.3 Ernest served in the military from Feb 2, 1942 until released Jan 4, 1946.5 It is noted that his Social Security Card was issued when he was living in Louisiana.2 When Ernest's brother George Henry Slade died in 1996, his obituary stated that Ernest was living in Oklahoma.6 Ernest died on July 4, 1998 in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, at age 85.2
