     Geraldine Dunning Slade was born in January, 1870 in Morean, Saratoga County, New York.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Slade and Sarah Ellen [?].¹
     Geraldine married Augustus Carragan.²

     Mary Ellen Watkins was born on July 7, 1876 in Peoria County, Illinois.² She was the daughter of Enoch Watkins and Rachael Lowell Farthing.³
     Mary married Frank Irenus Slade, son of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark, circa 1895.¹ Mary died on November 4, 1933 at age 57.² She was buried in Wacousta Cemetery, Clinton County, Michigan.²

     Otto Willis Slade was born on July 30, 1896 in Ionia County, Michigan.^1,2 He was the son of Frank Irenus Slade and Mary Ellen Watkins.¹ Otto Willis Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on June 5, 1918 in St. Johns, Clinton County, Michigan.³
     Otto married Dora Mae Hart, daughter of Earl Hart and Dorothy Eckhart, on September 17, 1924 in Dimondale, Eaton County, Michigan.⁴ Otto Willis Slade was registered for World War 2 draft in 1942 while living in Watertown Twp, Clinton County, Michigan.² Otto died on May 31, 1986 at age 89.⁵ He was buried in Eaton Center Cemetery, Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan.⁵

     Ercle Genevieve Slade was born on August 2, 1904 in Michigan.^1,3 She was the daughter of Frank Irenus Slade and Mary Ellen Watkins.¹
     Ercle married Clyde Henry Copenhaver on September 20, 1924 in Grand Ledge, Eaton County, Michigan.² Ercle died on April 7, 1988 in Eaton County, Michigan, at age 83³ and was buried in Wacousta Cemetery, Clinton County, Michigan.³

     Dora Mae Hart was born on January 4, 1902 in Eaton County, Michigan.^1,2 She was the daughter of Earl Hart and Dorothy Eckhart.¹
     Dora married Otto Willis Slade, son of Frank Irenus Slade and Mary Ellen Watkins, on September 17, 1924 in Dimondale, Eaton County, Michigan.¹ Dora died on October 17, 1981 at age 79² and was buried in Eaton Center Cemetery, Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan.²

     Frederick B. Slade was born circa 1869 in Bruce, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was the son of Frederick Slade and Annie Appler.¹
     Frederick married Matilda Jane Malcolm, daughter of John Malcolm and Helen McDowall, on May 18, 1892 in Ontario.¹

     Melbourne George Slade was born on September 9, 1871 in England.^1,2 He was the son of George H. Slade and Jane Emma Kingham.³ Melbourne George Slade immigrated with George H. Slade from from London to Port of New York, New York, on July 11, 1883.³ Melbourne immigrated from to United States in 1884.⁴
     Melbourne married Blanche May Kingham on March 17, 1909 in Marin County, California.⁵
     Melbourne married Angelina Helen Pitera on February 2, 1921 in Josephine County, Oregon.^1,6 Angie was the daughter of Antone Pitera and Marianna Sulana Lorenzana.⁷ Melbourne George Slade was a cook on a county road crew in 1930 in Humboldt County, California.⁴ Melbourne died on June 3, 1948 in California at age 76.²

     Angelina Helen Pitera was born circa 1900 in California.¹ Angie was the daughter of Antone Pitera and Marianna Sulana Lorenzana.³
     Angelina married Melbourne George Slade, son of George H. Slade and Jane Emma Kingham, on February 2, 1921 in Josephine County, Oregon.^1,2 Angelina died on February 14, 1991 in Humboldt County, California.⁴ She was buried in Saint Bernards Cemetery, Eureka, Humboldt County, California.⁵ Father's surname: Pitera, mother's maiden name: Lorenzana.⁴

     Arthur J. Slade was born on March 31, 1926 in California.¹ He was the son of Melbourne George Slade and Angelina Helen Pitera.²
     Arthur married Rita [?] circa 1943.³ Art was born and raised in Humboldt County where he attended schools in Arcata. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed in the Timber Industry his entire life, retiring in 1980 at the age of 55.³ Arthur died on December 13, 2002 in Humboldt County, California, at age 76.^1,3 His obituary read as follows:

           Arthur J. (Art) Slade died in December 13, 2002 in Eureka at the age of 76.
     Art was born and raised in Humboldt County where he attended schools in Arcata. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed in the Timber Industry his entire life, retiring in 1980 at the age of 55.
     Art is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita; his son, Jim Slade and wife Linda; daughter, Sandy Hendricks and husband Dave; brother, Verne Slade and wife Shirley; sisters, Lorraine Grover of Arizona, Nadine Beauchamp of Eureka, Darlene Westcott and husband Jerry of Arcata; grandchildren, Scott Avila and friend, Trisha, Aaron Slade, Kim Mulllins and husband Damon, Jamie Biagi and husband Victor and Tony Slade. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Trevyn and Tyce Mullins (his pride and joy), Baby Biagi (due in July); special nephew, Joe Toroni and many other nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents Melbourne and Angie Slade; brothers, Ernest and Milton Slade.
     At Art's request no formal services will be held.
     Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Mortuary Chapels/Pierce Chapel, Eureka. Memorial contributions may be made the Kidney Foundation or your favorite charity.³

     Ernest Lloyd Slade was born on November 20, 1932 in Humboldt County, California.² He was the son of Melbourne George Slade and Angelina Helen Pitera.¹ Ernest died on September 24, 1948 in California at age 15.²

     George H. Slade was born on February 15, 1844 in Chipperfield, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He was the son of James Slade and Hannah Honour.^2,1 George H. Slade was christened on April 7, 1844 in Chipperfield, Hertfordshire.¹
     George married Jane Emma Kingham in December, 1866 in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England.³ George immigrated from from London to Port of New York, New York, on July 11, 1883.³ George died on July 3, 1921 in Santa Clara County, California, at age 77.

     Terry Verne Slade was born on March 12, 1947 in Arcata, Humboldt County, California.² He was the son of Verne Slade and Shirley Arlene [?].¹
     Terry married Cynthia [?].² Terry died on March 14, 2005 in Shasta Lake, Shasta County, California, at age 58.² He was buried in Redding Memorial Park Cemetery, Shasta County, California.² His obituary read as follows:

      SHASTA LAKE Services for Terry Verne Slade, 58, of Shasta Lake will be at -- p.m. Saturday at Twin View Church in Redding.

The Rev. Harold Johnson will officiate.

Burial will be at Redding Cemetery.

Mr. Slade died Monday, March 14, 2005, at his home.

Born March 12, 1947, in Arcata, he moved to Shasta County in 1999 from Lewiston. He served with the Army National Guard in Eureka, was -- bus driver and custodian for Lewiston Elementary School, and was -- member of Lake Redding Men's Golf Association.

Survivors include wife Cynthia; son Marc of Redding; daughter Jeni Hines of Redding; parents Verne and Shirley of Eureka; four grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.
