     Permelia Clark was known as Amelia. She was New Tag circa 1836 in New York.³ She was born on January 4, 1836 in Pennsylvania.^1,4 She was the daughter of Jonas W. Clark.⁴ Her father was born in Pennsylvania, her mother was born in Michigan.⁵
     Permelia married William Ruben Slade, son of John Slade, say 1854.¹ Permelia died on September 24, 1886 at age 50⁴ and was buried in Lyons Twp Cemetery, Ionia County, Michigan.⁴

     Clara Ann Slade was born in November, 1859 in Ionia County, Michigan.² She was the daughter of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark.¹ Clara died on April 25, 1886 at age 26.³ She was buried in Lyons Twp Cemetery, Ionia County, Michigan.³

     John William Slade was known as William John Slade.² He was New Tag both of his parents were born in Pennsylvania in April, 1856 in Michigan.³ He was born circa 1863 in Ionia County, Michigan.² He was the son of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark.²
     John married Eva R Reeder on September 19, 1897 in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan.¹ John died on July 26, 1912 in Eagle, Clinton County, Michigan.⁴

     Edwin Keck Slade was born in May, 1864 in Ionia County, Michigan.^1,2 He was the son of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark.¹
     Edwin married Augusta Parkhurst, daughter of Aston Parkhurst and Mary J. Parkhurst, in 1890.² Edwin Keck Slade was a Seventh Day Adventist Minister in Holly, Oakland County, Michigan.³ Edwin died on June 12, 1952 at age 88.⁴ He was buried in Grand View Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles County, California.⁴

     Frank Irenus Slade was born on February 13, 1871 in Ionia County, Michigan.^3,1 He was the son of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark.^1,3
     Frank married Mary Ellen Watkins, daughter of Enoch Watkins and Rachael Lowell Farthing, circa 1895.⁴ Frank died on April 27, 1924 at age 53.³ He was buried in Wacousta Cemetery, Wacousta, Clinton County, Michigan.²

     George Slade was born on October 16, 1873 in Ionia County, Michigan.^1,2 He was the son of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark.¹ George died on March 27, 1950 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, at age 76 Single.²

     Judson Russell Slade was born on June 14, 1876 in Ionia County, Michigan.¹ He was the son of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark.³
     Judson married Olive Valance on April 27, 1902 in Oakland, Alameda County, California.⁴ Judson Russell Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 10, 1918 in Oakland, California, at 32 Manansta Avenue.² Judson died on December 9, 1927 at age 51⁵ and was buried in Sunset View Cemetery, El Cerrito, Contra Costa County, California.⁵

     Charles Walter Slade was born on December 25, 1878 in Lyons, Ionia County, Michigan.³ He was the son of William Ruben Slade and Permelia Clark.⁴
     Charles married Daisy Belle Holyoake, daughter of Alex Holyoake, on October 19, 1901 in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan.¹
     Charles Walter Slade registered for the draft for World War II in 1942, while living at Takoma Park, Montgomery County, Maryland.²

     Otis LeRoy Slade was born on October 28, 1935 in Clinton County, Michigan.^1,2 He was the son of Otto Willis Slade and Dora Mae Hart.¹
     Otis married Louise [?].² Otis died on August 31, 2013 at age 77² and was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Rogersville, Webster County, Missouri.² His obituary read as follows:

      Otis Slade, 77, left us to prepare a place in Heaven on August 31, 2013. Born October 28, 1935 to Otto and Dora (deceased) in Lansing, Michigan, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife Louise, sister Sandra, and five children; Christie McElmurry (Michael), Otis L. Slade Jr. (Kimberly), Michelle Alberson (William Sr.), Heather Anthony (Matt), and Joe Slade (fiancée Cathy Tagliarino). Otis was especially proud of his four wonderful grandsons, James (wife Whitley), William, Dillin, and Garrett, with an eagerly anticipated great grandchild on the way. A wealth of friends and extended family share our grief at his passing.

Otis graduated from Onaway High School in Michigan in 1954. He was a conscientious and loyal man, and proudly worked at Dayco for 24 years before moving to Albuquerque where he worked for Star Sales an additional 11 years. Health issues forced an early retirement, but he never stopped working, as his garden and automobiles can testify.

Blessed with a beautiful voice, Otis has graced countless churches and prayer meetings and even theatres with his resounding tenor. God's Heavenly Choir has just found its newest soloist, and we rejoice. Otis made the world a better place, and we are better people for having known him.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Fraker Funeral Home 1131 State Hwy. A Marshfield, MO, with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery State Hwy KK in Rogersville, MO.²

     Arthur Russell Slade was born on August 23, 1938 in Wacousta, Clinton County, Michigan.³ He was the son of Otto Willis Slade and Dora Mae Hart.¹
     Arthur married Mary Jane Secrist, daughter of Charlie Secrist and Ethel Smith, on January 18, 1959 in Big Rock, Michigan.² Arthur died on April 13, 2008 in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan, at age 69.³ He was buried in Eaton Center Cemetery, Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan.⁴ His obituary read as follows:

      Arthur R. Slade, 69, of Charlotte, MI died Sunday, April 13, 2008. Mr. Slade was born August 23, 1938 in Wacousta, MI the son of Otto and Dora (Hart) Slade. Mr. Slade was a Weighmaster for the Eaton County Road Commission for 36 years. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Jane; son, Jerry Slade of Lansing; daughter, Donna (Allen) Tilford of Springport; 3 grandchildren, Cassey, Trevor and Shelby; sister, Sandra Shepard of Detroit and brother, Otis (Louise) Slade of MO. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey Slade of Kalamazoo. An Affirmation service will be held, 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, MI. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 2:00 " 4:00 and 6:00 " 9:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
