     Grace married James William Slade, son of George Slade Jr. and Hannah Brooks, circa 1901.^1,3 Grace died in 1963³ and was buried in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, Bergen County, New Jersey.³

     Florence Slade was born circa 1902 in New York.¹ She was the daughter of James William Slade and Grace D. Odell.¹ Died 1954, bur Ellenville, NY - Married William Treadway d 1962 drjennison.

     Edward James Slade was born on February 5, 1905 in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York.^1,2 He was the son of James William Slade and Grace D. Odell.¹
     Edward married Lucy Mary Burns.³ Edward died on January 8, 1972 at age 66² and was buried in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, Bergen County, New Jersey.²

     James William Slade Jr. was born on September 7, 1917 in New York County, New York.^1,2 He was the son of James William Slade and Grace D. Odell.¹ He served in the United States Army from Feb 1, 1943 to Jan 1, 1947.³ James William Slade Jr. resided in Dumont, Bergen County, New Jersey, in 1972.⁴ James died in July, 1986 in Bergen County, New Jersey, at age 68.²

     Norman W. Slade Jr. was born circa 1926 in Erie County, New York.² He was the son of Norman J. Slade and Mildred M. [?]² Norman died on May 11, 1993¹ and was buried in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Elma, Erie County, New York.¹ His obituary read as follows:

A memorial service for Norman W. Slade Jr., 67, of Elma, a highly decorated World War II veteran, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Immaculate Lutheran Church in Elma. Slade was buried Friday in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Elma.

Slade died Tuesday (May 11, 1993) in the Erie County Medical Center 12 days after a farm tractor he was driving flipped backward and pinned him beneath it.

The Elma native was awarded three Bronze Stars for gallantry in action while serving in the Army in the European Theater during World War II. He was a traffic controller for a local trucking company until his retirement about five years ago.

Slade is survived by his mother, Mildred Slade of Orchard Park; two brothers, Gerald Slade of Elma and Daniel Slade of Angola; and a sister, Gloria Slade of Elma.¹

     Daniel Paul Slade was born in Erie County, New York.¹ He was the son of Norman J. Slade and Mildred M. [?]¹ Daniel died on January 30, 2005.¹ He was buried in Saint John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Elma, Erie County, New York.¹

     Gerald married Mauree McCormick on January 1, 1958 in Hornby, Steuben, NY.⁴
     Gerald married Marlene A. [?] on December 15, 1989.^5,6 Gerald F. Slade resided in Elma, Erie County, New York, on June 7, 1995.⁷ He was an entrepeneur and owner of Home Inspections of WNY.⁸ Gerald died on February 1, 2022 in Elma, New York, USA, at age 84.⁸ His obituary read as follows:

     Gloria K. Slade was born circa 1935 in Erie County, New York.^1,2 She was the daughter of Norman J. Slade and Mildred M. [?]¹ Gloria died on January 25, 2013 in New York.¹

     Alfred Ernest Horace Slade was born on June 23, 1869 in Wells, Somerset, England.² He was the son of George Slade and Ann Mills.³ Alfred Ernest Horace Slade was found on a passenger list on January 20, 1907 in Port of New York, New York; aboard S.S. Philadelphia from Southampton, England.⁴
     Alfred married second Anna Tremaine Lutes, daughter of William Lutes and Anna Tremain DesBrisay, on December 11, 1907 in Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.⁵ Alfred Ernest Horace Slade was naturalized on January 17, 1910 by the District Court of Massachusetts. His residence was on Pleasant Street in West Hanover.² Alfred died in 1947.⁶ He was buried in Old North Cemetery, Truro, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.⁶

     Anna Tremaine Lutes was born in July, 1869 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.^2,3 She was the daughter of William Lutes and Anna Tremain DesBrisay.^4,2 Anna immigrated from to United States in 1890.³
     Anna married Alfred Ernest Horace Slade, son of George Slade and Ann Mills, on December 11, 1907 in Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.⁵ Anna was widowed when her husband, Alfred, died in 1947.⁶ Anna died in 1952.⁷ She was buried in Old North Cemetery, Truro, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.⁷

     Wilfred George Slade was born on October 2, 1908 in West Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.^2,3,4 He was the son of Alfred Ernest Horace Slade and Anna Tremaine Lutes.¹
     Wilfred married Ruth A. Smith.⁴ He served in the Maritime Service, Coast Guard and the Navy, serving in World War II from 1942 to 1945. He worked as a highway surveyor for the commonwealth of Massachusetts for several years. He was a registered land surveyor and founded the firm Slade Associates, Inc in Wellfleet. He retired in 1977 and moved to Florida.⁴ Wilfred died on March 3, 1999 in Lecanto, Citrus County, Florida, at age 90.^3,4 He was buried in Old North Cemetery, Truro, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.⁴ His obituary read as follows:

LECANTO, Fla. - Wilfred G. "Red" Slade, 90, formerly of Truro, died March 3 in Lecanto.

He was the husband of Ruth (Smith) Slade, who died in 1980.

Mr. Slade was born in West Hanover, Mass. He lived in Provincetown until the late 1940s, and then in Truro until his retirement in 1977. He was a 1928 graduate of Provincetown High School.

Mr. Slade served in the Maritime Service, Coast Guard and the Navy, serving in World War II from 1942 to 1945. He worked as a highway surveyor for the commonwealth of Massachusetts for several years.

A registered land surveyor, he retired from his business, the Slade Agency, in Wellfleet in 1977 and moved to Florida.

From 1960 to 1978, he served on the board of Corporators' Seamens' Savings Bank, Provincetown. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 287, Wellfleet and the Massachusetts Retirees Association.

He was also a member of the Masons for 65 years, joined King Hiram's Lodge A.F. & A.M., Provincetown and later joined Pinellas Daylight Lodge A.M. No. 385 in St. Petersburg.

Surviving are a son, Frederick A. Slade; a daughter, Cynthia Slade Hurd; a brother, Richard H. Slade of West Yarmouth; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. April 9 in North Truro Cemetery, Truro.

     Howard Tremaine Slade was born on April 4, 1910 in Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Alfred Ernest Horace Slade and Anna Tremaine Lutes.¹ Howard died on June 14, 1974 in Falmouth, Massachusetts, at age 64.³ He was buried in Old North Cemetery, Truro, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.⁴

     Richard Horace Slade was born on June 28, 1912 in Barnstable County, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Alfred Ernest Horace Slade and Anna Tremaine Lutes.¹ He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.³
     Richard married Greta Norton. Richard died on February 14, 2002 in Massachusetts at age 89.² He was buried in Chandler Gray Cemetery, Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.^3,4
