     Mary Ann Powell was born on August 13, 1936 in Princeton, Gibson County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Frank Powell and Anna Marie Rust¹, the daughter of Frank and Anna Marie (Rust) Powell.¹
     Mary married Richard Frederick Slade, son of James Elmer Slade and Sylvia Jewell Wilder, on February 18, 1955.¹ Mary died on August 30, 2013 at age 77.¹ She was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, Princeton, Gibson County, Indiana.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Mary Ann Slade, 77 of Evansville passed away at 11:45 am, Friday, August 30, 2013 at her home.
Mary Ann was born August 13, 1936 in Princeton, Indiana the daughter of Frank and Anna Marie (Rust) Powell. She was a 1954 graduate of Princeton High School and earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from University of Evansville. Mary Ann was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She retired in 1998 after 27 years as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher at Highland Elementary School.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard F. Slade of Evansville, sons, Stephen Slade (Tacy) of Austin, TX and John Slade (Mary) of St. Charles, IL and grandchildren, Clayton Slade, Rachel Reynolds, James Slade, Andrew Slade and Christine Slade.
Funeral Services will be held at 5 pm, Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Private Burial will be in St, Joseph Cemetery, Princeton, IN.
Friends may call from 2 pm until time of service at 5 pm, Sunday at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.

     Kenneth Edgar Slade was born on May 18, 1880 in Chatham, Kent County, Ontario, Canada. [his WW2 registration says he was born in Michigan]^2,3,1 He was the son of Richard Slade and Arvilla Annie Bell.¹ Kenneth Edgar Slade was New Tag in March, 1882 in Canada.⁴
     Kenneth married Effie Clara Turner, daughter of George Turner and Samantha Swift, on July 1, 1903 in Liberty, McKean County, Pennsylvania.² Kenneth Edgar Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in McKean County, Pennsylvania.⁵
     Kenneth Edgar Slade registered for the draft for World War II in 1942, while living at Port Allegany, McKean County, Pennsylvania.³ Kenneth was widowed when his wife, Effie, died on December 20, 1953 in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, at age 70.⁶ Kenneth died on November 16, 1963 in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 83^7,8 and was buried in Portage Valley Cemetery, Wrights, McKean County, Pennsylvania.⁹

     Arvilla Annie Bell was New Tag circa 1858 in Michigan.² She was born circa 1862 in Ontario, Canada.³ She was the daughter of Isaac Bell and Susanna Anderson.²
     Arvilla married Richard Slade, son of Edgar Slade and Elizabeth Sellars, on June 16, 1879 in Chatham, Kent County, Ontario, Canada.⁴

     James Slade was born in February, 1856 in Chatham, Kent County, Ontario, Canada.² He was the son of Edgar Slade and Elizabeth Sellars.
     James married Catherine Ryan say 1877.² James Slade witnessed the marriage of Richard Slade and Arvilla Annie Bell on June 16, 1879 in Chatham, Ontario.³ James and Catherine immigrated from to United States in 1889.¹ James died on June 2, 1930 at age 74⁴ and was buried in Kasson Cemetery, Kasson, McKean County, Pennsylvania.⁵

     Catherine Ryan was born in August, 1859 in Canada.³ She was New Tag from Ancestry tree CatlettSM on August 16, 1861 in Chatham, Kent County, Ontario, Canada.
     Catherine married James Slade, son of Edgar Slade and Elizabeth Sellars, say 1877.³ Catherine Ryan witnessed the marriage of Richard Slade and Arvilla Annie Bell on June 16, 1879 in Chatham, Ontario.⁴ Catherine and James immigrated from to United States in 1889.¹ In 1900 census, she is mother of 8 children, 7 are living.³ Kate indicates she is mother of 8 children, 6 are still living.⁵ Catherine died in 1923.² She was buried in Kasson Cemetery, Kasson, McKean County, Pennsylvania.²

     Edythe E. Slade was born in August, 1891 in Pennsylvania.² She was the daughter of James Slade and Catherine Ryan.³
     Edythe married first William Boyden Eckhardt.⁴
     After William's death in 1926, she married second Frank Bryan Myles.⁵ Edythe died on January 1, 1973 at age 81.¹ She was buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, Cattaraugus County, New York.¹

     George N. Slade was born in August, 1881 in Canada.² He was the son of James Slade and Catherine Ryan.²
     George married Adeline [?].³

     Susan Slade was born circa 1846 in Canada.¹ She was the daughter of Edgar Slade and Elizabeth Sellars.¹
     Susan married John Jackson on January 29, 1867 in Kent, Ontario, Canada.², the son of John and Mary Jackson.²
     Susan married John Richard Rumoher, son of George Rumoher and Jane [?], on November 2, 1885 in Dresden, Kent County, Ontario, Canada.³
