     Frederick William Slade was born on December 30, 1882 in Richmond, Surrey, England.^3,2 He was the son of Willliam Slade and Maria [?].³ Frederick William Slade was baptized on January 28, 1883; at St Mary Magdalene.³ He immigrated with Willliam Slade from England to Quebec, Quebec, Canada, in 1887 aboard the S.S. Polynesian.⁴
     Frederick married Alice Maud Mans on June 20, 1905 in Brant, Ontario, Canada,^5,2, the daughter of Margaret Smith & Orin Mans.⁵

     George Morgan Slade was born on September 9, 1931 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama.¹ He was the son of James Bennett Slade II and Theresa Llabona Roberts.¹
     George married Henrietta Elizabeth Oliver.¹ He graduated from St. Stanislaus Parochial School in Bay St. Louis, MS. He then attended Auburn University where he was a member of the Air Force ROTC and the Arnold Air Society, graduating in 1953. After graduation, Mr. Slade entered the U.S. Air Force and served at Spence Air Base, Lackland AFB, and Elmendorf AFB. He left active duty in October 1955 as a 1st Lieutenant. Upon returning to Mobile, he opened Slade's Laundromat in three locations and operated the business for 35 years.² George died on October 17, 2014 at age 83.² He was buried in Hooks Cemetery, Washington County, Alabama.² His obituary read as follows:

      Sept. 9, 1931 - Oct. 17, 2014 George Morgan Slade – son of the late James Bennett Slade and Theresa Llabona Roberts Slade, died on the 17th of October, 2014 at his home. He was born in Mobile, AL and raised in Washington County and Mobile County. Mr. Slade attended and graduated from St. Stanislaus Parochial School in Bay St. Louis, MS. He then attended Auburn University where he was a member of the Air Force ROTC and the Arnold Air Society, graduating in 1953. After graduation, Mr. Slade entered the U.S. Air Force and served at Spence Air Base, Lackland AFB, and Elmendorf AFB. He left active duty in October 1955 as a 1st Lieutenant. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Friday, October 24, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Family Catholic Church at 1400 Joyce Rd. in Mobile on Saturday, October 25, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Hooks-Harris Cemetery in Washington County on Highway 43 north of McIntosh at 12:15 p.m.

     Thomas Ephraim Slade was New Tag on October 18, 1832 in Canada. He was born on October 18, 1834 in Tatamagouche, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Slade and Margaret Tattrie.^1,3
     Thomas married Ellen Dunphy on January 24, 1857 in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.^4,5 Alexander Clark, a family member & neighbor remembers "Ephraim lived on Slade Road, a little less than one mile south out twoards the Leake Road. The site of his home can very easily be found yet, on the west side of the road, and very near to the road. Quite a deep cellar marks the site of the house."⁶ Thomas immigrated from to United States in 1879.⁴ Thomas died on November 24, 1912 in Techumseh, Johnson, Nova Scotia, at age 78⁷ and was buried in Tecumseh Cemetery, Johnson County, Nebraska.⁷

     Ellen Dunphy was born in May, 1836 in Nova Scotia, Canada.¹
     Ellen married Thomas Ephraim Slade, son of Thomas Slade and Margaret Tattrie, on January 24, 1857 in Tatamagouche, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada.^2,3 The 1800 census indicates that Ellen is mother of 8 children, 7 are living.² Ellen died in 1929⁴ and was buried in Tecumseh Cemetery, Johnson County, Nebraska.⁴

     Mary Ella Slade was known as Ella.² She was born on September 1, 1876 in Tatamagouche, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada.² She was New Tag in July, 1877.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Ephraim Slade and Ellen Dunphy.^3,1 Mary died on November 29, 1942 at age 65² and was buried in Tecumseh Cemetery, Johnson County, Nebraska.²

     John Clifford Slade went by Clifford. He was born in April, 1879 in Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada.¹ He was the son of Thomas Ephraim Slade and Ellen Dunphy.¹
     John married an unknown person on October 30, 1907 in Techumseh, Johnson, Nebraska.²
     John married Jennie Opal LaMasters, daughter of William W. LaMasters and Georgie Ann Shepard, on March 9, 1925 in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa.³ John Clifford Slade was a foreman of a concrete construction crew. John died on December 6, 1950 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, at age 71⁴ and was buried in Fort Lewis Cemetery, Fort Lewis, Pierce County, Washington.⁵

     Thomas William Slade was born in March, 1859 in Nova Scotia, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Ephraim Slade and Ellen Dunphy.¹ In 1900 census, he was shown as engineer and it indicated that he was not married.³ Thomas died on May 6, 1937 at age 78⁴ and was buried in Tecumseh Cemetery, Johnson County, Nebraska.⁴

     James Boneman Slade was born in September, 1870 in Tatamagouche, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was the son of Thomas Ephraim Slade and Ellen Dunphy.
     James married Alcena Etta McKnight in 1895 in Butler County, Nebraska.^1,2 James died on July 17, 1949 at age 78³ and was buried in Fullerton Cemetery, Fullerton, Nance County, Nebraska.^4,5

     Alcena Etta McKnight was born on January 3, 1873 in Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin.^1,2 She was the daughter of Anna Scott and George Washington McKnight.³
     Alcena married James Boneman Slade, son of Thomas Ephraim Slade and Ellen Dunphy, in 1895 in Butler County, Nebraska.^1,4 Alcena died in 1951² and was buried in Fullerton Cemetery, Fullerton, Nance County, Nebraska.²

     Gladys Fern Slade was born on January 5, 1899 in David City, Butler County, Nebraska.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Boneman Slade and Alcena Etta McKnight.¹
     Gladys married first Theodore W. Kahn in Saunders County, Nebraska.³
     Gladys married Melvin Grant Call.² Gladys died in August, 1987 in Denver, Denver County, Colorado, at age 88.
