     Juda married Abner DeWitt Slade, son of John Frank Slade and Mary Messick. Juda died in Florence Twp, Pamlico County, North Carolina.1

     James Henry 'Jim' Hawkins was born on May 17, 1887 in Beaufort County, North Carolina.1
     James married Mary Magdaline Evalina Slade, daughter of John Frank Slade Jr. and Susan Whitehurst Carraway, in 1909.1 James died on November 2, 1964 in Mesic, Pamlico County, North Carolina, at age 77.1 He was buried in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, Beaufort County, North Carolina.1
